Re: Why no Holiday Programming this year?

I don't think the Q had one in years. Rick D.'s sons were little and now their in College.

QVC's Scrooge of Programming

Hopefully, Tammy Knebel's heart will grow three sizes next year.  Smiley Happy

(No, wait, that's the Grinch, not Scrooge.  Well, same difference.)

I'll take the sales shows they had today over the "cute" cookie baking segments.  I don't need any instruction on cookie baking and I sure don't want to listen to Mally.

@Kachina624

The programming may not appeal to you but hours and hours of clothing (that was on every time I checked).

No one is saying baking or recipes but frankly, maybe some "clips" in between from hosts, behind the scenes, or buyers

wait here's a thought : What about the CEO or CFO come and offer a holiday greeting for all the customers who have "stuck" with this "train wreck" for the last year...

Now that would be a great concept don't you think?

@homedecor1   That would be nice and very appropriate.

Even David with his mom (you can see how they adore each other) came on IG & FB today with a "holiday message" from her home.

 It was heartwarming and showed his stockings as a kid she made & of course all the fun things they had planned including a yummy Christmas dinner of course a side of mac n cheese for him😊🎄

In my opinion, I believe QVC is managing the many circumstaces out of their control as best as they can. I will be patient while they take care of important issues.

Some years they even showed the QVC Christmas parade in West Chester. I really enjoyed the Meredith prep/recipe segments.  Or even some holiday greetings from hosts, crew, etc.  Sign of the times.   Yes, years since the cookie segments when Rick, MB and Jane’s kids were small.  I always like to look up the Lisa Robertson and Dave King Baby it’s cold outside on you tube.   Reminds me of the good old QVC days. Not even a Yule log for 5 minutes.

I remember a few years ago watching Rick and his 2 boys making cookies. It was a delight.

I would bet that holiday shows were not produced because of Covid...thus reruns of past shows instead.
