Re: What will I do without QVC?

I must have come late to the party.....where is QVC going? Is there something in the news that I've missed?

Re: What will I do without QVC?

I buy most of my clothing from Macy's... I buy some Beauty from the Q and some Household items and an occasional sandal, but not much in clothing anymore.

There was a time when I purchased Susan Graver and Isaac, and while I still like their lines, I can find better deals at Macy's and easier returns.....

I would miss the Forums more than anything and the good pricing on bundling beauty items...

Re: What will I do without QVC?

There was a time--10+ years ago--if a cable provider did not carry QVC I would not consider it.  Now I would not miss anything about QVC.  I would miss HSN more.  But even that not very much.  When the shopping channels started the internet was just starting.  Now every retailer has a website.  I do not understand those who say they don't want to go to a b&m store.  No need to.  I do most of my shopping at Macy's, Blair, or directly from Easy Spirit, Bzees, etc. etc. websites.   As for beauty products, how much does one need and CVS and Walgreens are sufficient for me.

I'm sorry for those who look to QVC for "entertainment" and would be lost without it.  IMO it has become an addiction for many people.

I think it is premature to be Chicken Little.  The sky isn't falling yet.

Just remember how Macy's, Coldwater Creek and JCP went through closings and bankruptcies etc.  And not only them....MANY others which are still with us today in some form or another.

Re: What will I do without QVC?

In the absence of a dramatic weight gain or weight loss, I have enough clothes to last me the rest of my life.  Boring as it may be, I could survive.

I absolutely detest going into dressing rooms to try on clothes.

If QVC was no longer on air I'm sure they would have an online store to shop.  I watch less and less anyway.

Re: What will I do without QVC?

You will be fine and a whole new world will open up for you.

Change is good..... that's why they fired all the great hosts,  brought in younger people who blab about anything but the productm ,got rid of the older vendors, brought in cheap ******, charge outrageous shipping and return prices , made tacky looking sets, price gouge food items. You are the people QVC is embarressed to be their consumer.   The internet is your friend.

Re: What will I do without QVC?

I told this story before. Last year my account was closed for about 5 weeks due to a suspected issue of fraud. It was finally resolved.

But during that time, I realized that what I would miss most is the forums. I don't initiate topics and don't post a lot. But I have learned a lot and enjoy the sharing of so many topics.
