Well that is how QVC might want me to see it.

I see it as they now want to get more money for the same product I tried to buy (many many times I refreshed the page all day looking for certain colors/pattern, and any colors at all those last few hours of the promotion) while the promotion was available, and they obviously did have stock. This isn't like I totally missed the promtional offer period, and after a time period, they were able to secure some more product, and I'd be happy to find my color/pattern and pay a little more. I've had that happen a number of times, and missing the promotion was all my fault.

I'll see the glass (actually my wallet) half full this way. They  didn't get my money and now they won't for this product at any price, because of either their incompetence or their greed.

They just assume people want things bad enough to jump through hoops and pay more just hours after they were 'sold out'. They will have to find someone else to do the jumping and be grateful for the game, because in at least this case, it won't be me!

Oh well.  Might be a good thing.  The only temptations I owned cracked within 6 months.

Never mind.  Not even worth trying to explain it to you.  You want to be right, so you are right.

Hello, @Mominohio!  You are taking a hit today for some reason. However, if you’ve read several other threads, you’ve noticed you aren’t the only poster getting over-the-top responses.

Re: What kind of game is this?

i have done this before on speciallly priced items (including lunchtime specials), so here is a suggestion.......customer service AND the mods are usually great. i honestly dont find this to be a major problem at all over the many years i have shopped with qvc.

explain your situation to customer service. tell them you wanted the items at the special pricing but could not get waitlist. they are now on waitlist. ask to join waitlist at the special pricing offered originally. they can usually accomodate you.

if the customer service representative doesnt give you any help, then try the mods. they usually go above and beyond when it comes to helping a customer.

give QVC the chance to "make it right" for you, especially if it was an item you really wanted.

nothing ventured, nothing gained.

You are probably right, they want to hurt you, make you miss out on something you want.  You must really be special for them to target you.

No, read it again. And attempt some comprehension.

I said they want the money (or their systems are just incompetent). They want customers to get so frenzied about the limited nature of a product, they will buy it at a higher price just to get it.

It happens all the time with the Valerie Parr Hill line. Bring in just a few thousand things that they know will be popular for some big event, 30 seconds into the presentation with the event pricing, they are 'almost gone', then sold out. They have people clamoring on FB and here hoping for more stock, which magically appears just days or weeks down the road, but at a higher price. It's a game. It's about creating a demand. It's business

And I'm saying I'm not playing it.

@Warrior2022

When you post after quoting me, don't put your comment in with mine. This last paragraph (above) was not written by me, but it looks like it was based on the placement of your response. But it probably isn't even worth trying to explain it to you.
