Last night the Emjoi eRase 60-Disc Precision Hair Removal Epilator (A285516) was "New Today."  Back in June (I think it was) the Emjoi eRase 60-Disc Precision Hair Removal Epilator (A281130) was "New Today."  The only difference that I can see is that different colors/patterns were offered, does that really make it new?  I find that a little deceptive.  New to me means that it has different/new features, not colors.

Yes, if there has been a change to a product, it is considered "new".  Also if a product has been shown before, but now has 5 items included with it, it will not only be considered "new" but only feedback from those buying the "new" product with 5 items will be allowed to leave a feedback.

A word in QVC's defense.... they are not the only Venue that does this.

Thank heavens that for the most part, when QVC calls something new, they've added something -  a color, an extra ounce of product, an extra skin for a computer, etc.  New in the supermarket always seems to mean a new box or can and inside a bit less product!

In either case, what's most important to me is that I don't allow myself as a consumer to be taken in.  The more we know about the selling gimmicks, the better we shop!  I really don't care about "new" for the most part unless I already knew there was some detail about the former product I didn't like.  How often is that true?
