Re: Watching QVC less and less

I didn't even last a year and I'm hardly ever watching now.  The merchandise is the same old thing and I don't want shark bit hems or high low hems, etc.  Hosting is sometimes fine but often off point and foolish - you know who you are.  Basically I am bored with it now.   Maybe the overseas sales their focus.

The best thing for everyone is that you just keep not watching, and be sure not to come here to vocalize all of your negativity. I don't care if you watch or not, but to come here on their free forum to bellyache about it is ignorant.

Go about some other business. You like it now or you don't. That should be the end of it.

Re: Watching QVC less and less

I used to have Q on all the time.  Now it's rare.  I don't watch or have it on in the background anymore, especially when Christmas shows start.   I have reminders for a few certain shows and I check the schedule on occasion.  But it's been pretty much NO-Q-TV at my house for some time..  It's boring boring boring and then more boring.

Each to their own. It was clear what this thread was about when we all chose to open it. You're free to have and express your opinion, just as others have expressed the opinions they hold... That's the process and it doesn't strike me as an 'ignorant' one...

My viewing has declined over time to the point where I now essentially don't watch. For many of the same reasons others have listed, there isn't much, in my view, they're doing right these days.  When something stops being enjoyable, there's no reason to continue doing it.  Watching QVC, overall, is no longer enjoyable.

Same here, I never watch anymore except for a snippet here and there when I happen to be changing channels.  I look online to see what will be on ITKWD, but it is always the same stuff, lots and lots of Temp-tations, overpriced food items, etc.  If I see a cookbook that interests me, I watch the video and then if I want the book, I order it from Barnes and Noble, cheaper and free shipping.  I used to enjoy the cooking shows, but no more.  QVC is so repetitious, computers, mattresses, electronics ad nauseum.  And the "V" is just not there anymore, the sales are a joke, maybe $5 off the original price, and even the TSV is not that great of a deal quite often if you compare the TSV price with the regular QVC price.  I have canceled all auto-deliveries except for two wreaths I give at the holidays.

When one has done business with a particcular store for years and years and participated in their forum with others, it's actually fitting to express yourself with others as to how you feel said company is not perfomring as it once had. There's nothing "ignorant" about it at all.

Are you the owner of the business to tell others what to do or what not to do. And opinions of others will end when they wish, or a moderator wishes.

@redhead65 its a free country, people can complain about what they don't like and you could have just NOT read this thread since it was obvious about the topic, rather than coming to complain about people posting their thoughts that you don't like.

too bad.

It grates doesn't it, when the world doesn't share your viewpoint.  And yeah, QVC wants people to STOP watching their show.  Apparently, you DO care or you would have passed on this thread.

Re: Watching QVC less and less

I just came to this part of the website to see what has been going on lately.  QVC was taken off the air here in the first week of July.  I thought I'd go crazy if I didn't call the cable company and add whatever I need to get the channel back.  I've been a viewer and have bought many things for 25 years!  Well, I hadn't been watching so much the past year or so, but I would still check the channel from time to time during the day to see what was going on. Somehow I never got around to calling the cable company, and I'm realizing I just don't miss the channel as I thought I would.  I've logged on several times to see what products are being shown, and I've been stunned by how many times they have been Christmas-related.  In triple-digit heat here, I really couldn't think about Christmas.

I'm not sure what I'll do as time goes on, but I'm not inclined to

make any changes right now to try to get the channel back on.

I always loved the items I bought--and I bought a LOT--but I did lose interest in presentations.  I didn't think the way many things had changed were for the better.
