There was a time when QVC actually not only provided a good value the company HAD values! Not so now. I am so disappointed not only in the company but in the hosts. Especially those who are always telling us how honest they are in providing information.
I am referring to the Pandigital hand held scanner. When I saw the deep cut for the clearance price AND free shipping I became skeptical and checked into why. Well, Pandigital went bankrupt recently and is no longer honoring ANY warranties. Yet, not a peep about the company going out of business or about the warranties from the hosts or vendors. Some of these are the same hosts who make a point of telling us if a particular garment runs particularly large (or small) and says "I just want to give you the information I would want myself". Yeah, sure. Now, I know they may be told not to disclose that Pandigital is going out of business, but that goes back to my original statement about the company. Plus, I know for a fact because I've seen it happen on air, and that is, some hosts will openly say if they don't agree with something. I've seen Mary Beth in particular do this. So, at least some of the sr. hosts have enough influence to say certain things they want to (or not).
I think this just speaks to a bigger problem at QVC and how little by little they have become less honest and forthcoming and MUCH less caring about the customer.
I'm so glad I checked on this before ordering. I have this item already and was going to order one for my son but I'll go with another brand that is sold on the other channel. It has much better reviews than the Pandigital anyway. I usually only order craft items from HSN since QVC no longer carries craft products. That's a HUGE miss of the market share, btw, since Mixed Media art is so, so popular, but that's another topic for another post. ![]()
