USPS was the problem.  Blaming the wrong company!

I'd say 2 labels was the problem.

@CalminHeart

Reread the OP's statement which is

The original package showed USPS had put two mailing labels on the package.

@danedylan Around here, Amazon drops packages off at the local PO...IF they get THAT far! I had two orders (both laundry detergent) so badly damaged that they couldn't even be left at the PO, but had to be returned to Amazon (there's a warehouse near me). Another was left at the PO leaking, so the PO wouldn't deliver it. I had to make a 25 mile round trip to pick it up.

Amazon recently sent some candy I had ordered...the candy is in a plastic bag. They shipped it in a thinly padded envelope, and nearly every piece of candy was broken, smashed or clumped together...and this isn't the first time!

USPS is good, sometimes not so good.  Same with UPS.  The only that seems to always have trouble is Fed EX. But it's been a long time since they came my way.  Maybe they are better.

Amazon is so good, you don't even think about it.

@danedylan You are right!  I have had some things they couldn't get (very few) but they deliver the most to here--although much comes from the Oklahoma City huge warehouse.
