"You Just Missed It" Notifications Increasing.

[ Edited ]

You'd think with QVC's awareness that there are problems with their inventory system that they'd fix it.

It was a fairly rare situation until recently to get the You Just Missed It notification when checking out.

Tried to order about 4 things yesterday all had that notification.

Frustrating but not too much as it is somewhat expected.

Unfortunately this has been going on for months. It's so frustrating to try to order an item that is shown to be in stock, only to find "it just sold out". Grrrrrrr! The IT department has a lot of work to do!

As you say @rockygems123 it is expected now so I have to just move on. I am not really understanding the purpose of it. It happens frequently with As Is, on almost all the items under $10. Some have stated they get it with other items as well. I too have but those are legitimate as they seemed to have just sold out since the next day they are removed.

I've said it before and I guess I'll say it again, I believe they are testing something. It is with the more inexpensive As Is items so I wonder if they are seeing who will continue shopping and purchase higher priced items or if a shopper will stop shopping after a certain point.

@cjm61

That runs through my head often, when will I stop shopping at the Q after having obstacles to purchase

2 orders made in June with advance 8/11 ship dates still have not shipped.  That held me back from ordering for a while but I've somewhat given up on ever seeing those items.

I get it if you REALLY "just missed it" but I've checked on items weeks even months later and I still "just missed it."  NOT!

And definitely not just the as is items.

I agree that the You Just Missed It is increasing. Annoying and disappointing. My guess is that they are very slow in updating their website. Not necessarily low inventory. More like low priority with their IT team. JMHO

@rockygems123  Why haven't you called CS and/or emailed the mods for an explanation?   confused.gif

@rockygems123. I think it's not an inventory but an IT problem that they can't figure out how to fix on their antiquated system. The CEO, in one of his addresses, alluded to having a new IT service provider. Perhaps the young guns they've hired are unqualified to work on the ancient Q system.

Whatever the problem, it's inexcusable that it's gone uncorrected for so long.

@Kachina624  -  I agree that it's maybe an IT problem instead of an inventory problem.  You're right - it's inexcusable to have gone on this long.

I wonder if the CEO even knows about this problem.
