The least enthusiastic response I've seen from David is when he presented packaged shelf-stable meals that were good for 20+ years (good for preppers and campers).  He said they were quite good - as if he wasn't expecting much - but offered no happy dance or exaggerated raves.  His muted reaction was plausible.
