HLP ..... my sentiment exactly! Used to watch the first hundred times he did the "Happy Dance" but now I don't even turn on the show. Don't get me wrong ..... I like David but there is something about a 50 something year old man acting like he did 25 years ago that kind of "irks" me. I know the "haters" are going to come out with their comments. They are allowed their opinion the same as I am. And, yes I do turn channels when I need to.

If your income depended upon keeping your job, what would you do?  Make a face and say "Egads this is way too   (salty, bland, spicy)"?

I take David with a grain of salt even though I do like him.  I've watched him for a long time and know a good salesman when I see them and how to take them. 

He could sell ice to Eskimos if they don't know how to take him.  His actions don't influence me to buy.  I say, oh that's just David and make up my own mind.

David has come a long way from a broadcaster in Altoona, PA and Oak Hill, WV. I

I am sure he is paid "good" money but without QVC he wouldn't be where he is today.

I am sure if they told him to jump up and down he would. I would too for his salary and what he makes off his books and other merchandise.

You answered your own question, yes it is a ploy to get the viewer to buy the product. At least they are honest enough to tell you to let them know if you don't like it  and you can get your money back.

@LikeToKnowI was watching one of the food shows last month and the camera must have not pulled enough away and I saw one of the host spit the food in a napkin, and it was so funny, I would hate to have pretend things taste good. They had a food show on with a few that had made a remark that she wasn't a big fan of seafood and didn't taste , I bet she caught it , and I did notice a few gone that probably didn't always agree , OH!! YUM SO GOOD! I"M HAVING A MOMENT !!!!
