On 4/5/2015 Carmie said:The way people talk is regional. In some areas people speak slow and other areas people speak fast.
Here in PA, NJ and NY and some other areas of the northeast, we speak faster than people of some southern states and other areas of the country do.
I have no problem understanding any of the hosts or vendors, and I don't think they talk too fast.
I travel a lot and sometimes people speak so slow in other states that I feel impatient waiting for them to finish their thoughts. I just go with the flow as I am in their region.
As we say here in PA, we don't talk too fast, you listen too slow.
Enjoy your day!
Hi, Carmie! I am guilty of getting impatient waiting for slower talkers to finish. I find my mind starts to wander if someone takes too long to explain something! (born in NJ, now live in PA)
My brother is the fastest talker I've ever known. And he tells the funniest stories so you have to stay focused or you'll miss the punchline. He's the nicest person and just the best brother but if someone is rude to him, his comebacks are second to none and he leaves the person thinking about what he said as he's already walking away.
Love that guy.

She's one host I never watch or will listen to anyway.

Kristan, Amy, Sandra, Sharon talk/babble too much. Also, I love Antonella, but she laughs at herself or giggles so much it's sometimes hard to understand her. Most of the legends, Mary Beth, Pat, Jayne and even Carol talk slow enough that they can be understood. The only thing wrong with Carolyn is she says UM, so much.
I can't figure Shawn out. Her husband has a very good, professional job and she acts so immature. Wonder if she embarrasses him. One would think she would be more lady like for her husband if not for herself.

I'm thinking they have a limited time to present (and sell) certain products?? I have noticed the hosts on the southern channel present at a more even pace. Reva

Yes, I've been thinking the same thing. Some people talk so fast that after awhile it just sounds like a lot of gibberish that I just can't understand. It's very annoying. And some just talk too much and don't let the vender say what they want to say about what they are trying to sell.

I don't know what it is about Lynne Schacher (Evine)......but I can't understand a word of what she says........... It sounds like a foreign language to me. Maybe I need my hearing checked.

Yes, please slow down when speaking. I realize there is a lot to present, but please...
