Why does everyone keep saying that???    I personally know 3 people that are on tv regularly and not one looks any different in person.   In fact one of the three looks thinner on tv.    That is such an antiquated theory.    For those of  you that keep saying that... how do you know that for a fact?

Re: TV does NOT add pounds..

People want to believe that, it has nothing to do with fact. Although, I've read that lesser camera equipment can distort size, but I can't imagine that the Q doesn't have state of the art equipment.

Seems to me I read somewhere that TV picture can be manipulated. I think it was Johnny Carson that had his show done in a way it made him look thinner.

My son's girlfriend is a TV news anchor and looks exactly the same as she does on television. She's very pretty but better than that...she's extremely smart.

Re: TV does NOT add pounds..

I think it was true years ago, but now the technology has improved.

After taking the QVC tour I was amazed at how tiny the hosts really are.

Re: TV does NOT add pounds..

Junebug54, thank you for posting this!

Before modern technology, it was true that TV added pounds--but that hasn't been true in decades. I've posted about this in the past, but it's always been ignored.

(Just as, sadly, your comment about it probably will be.)
