I've been following this Thread from the begining. Is there a time and date for this to happen? Hope someone would post about it.

Not sure of the exact date of The Downfall, but I am quite certain it will be celebrated by those who "no longer watch or shop".

You would be wrong in your assumption imo. I doubt anyone would celebrate. Even people like me that watch very little and purchase even less. But it is hard to feel sorry for qvc when they are bringing on their downward spiral quarter after quarter because of the poor decisions made by TPTB.

I believe Qurate will continue to exist as a retailer.
However, I think it is evolving into a form that many posters don't like, won't accept and resist.
That's perfectly fine and understandable, but it will change in order to survive in 2024 and beyond.

As someone who has been with QVC since it was CVN, I am saddened at what it has become. I used to enjoy shopping, and always felt that the biggest benefit of watching QVC was being able to hear the designers or the vendors describe their own creations.
I fondly recall Bob Mackie presenting his beautiful fashions and being able to hear about his inspiration. Others, like Louis Dell'Olio and Nolan Miller, also were a joy to see.
Now, we are lucky if we get a measurement or even a full view of a garment. Forget about seeing both sides or the inside of a handbag! And rather than allow the designers to speak, the hosts are constantly interrupting, giving status updates, making nonsensical comments and acting like clowns, no offense to clowns!
Since the ability to see and hear such details was what used to set QVC apart from any other retailer, and because their prices are now exceedingly beyond affordable, I'm sad to say my shopping has been significantly and steadily stifled. And less shopping for me means a lot less profit for them.
They can try to reinvent themselves as much as they want, but getting back to what made them great in the first place is the only thing that makes sense. Affordable, quality merchandise described accurately by someone with class, professionalism and integrity. Why is that so much to ask?

Suziqzee, you said it perfectly. I loved all the designers you mentioned.
last night Dennis Basso was on with some beautiful items. He could not get a word in with Jennifer Coffey or Shawn. It is just terrible to listen to, why this is allowed is beyond me.

I tried to watch SG Sunday night......All she does is say the same speil over and over......she is a pant fit expert, liquid knit is fluid, it doesnt shrink, fade, or pill, you can wad it up in a ball and it wont wrinkle. Needless to say I didn't buy a thing. With all of the talking over each other and the "urgency" to put it in your cart and buy now.....it does not make for a pleasant buying experience.

I totally agree with you.... the "Quality" is long gone, the prices are ridiculous, the hosts are annoying...after decades, I too am pretty much 'gone'... Right now I have 8 items that I have to return. They apparently are trying to make it representative of every nation, every situation, etc...and they are alienating more than they are gaining. Too many hosts have NO CREDIBILITY....AT ALL. Shawn is ridiculous - she couldn't begin to use all of the products she claims to...she looks unkept, and the glasses - ridiculous...apparently starved for attention. Others are very similar. Products are over priced for the lack of quality that they offer...

I wouldn't be so certain. Given the many years this supposed downfall has been predicted to take place, juxtaposed with the average age of forum members, I don't think a reputable financial advisor would consider investing in new party clothes for the occasion to be a sound investment.
However, if that celebration came to life (no pun intended) it might look something like this ~

Minus the vino, of course, as we all know it's just devil juice in a pretty glass. I want to be the one on the left with the horns.👿 🍷 😂
