When Q went from having ONE host; who was dedicated to explaining a product thoroughly and in great detail...to suddenly TWO hosts who banter about their personal lives more than the product; that's when I cut back my viewing hours CONSIDERABLY. That one change is what did it for me. I thought it was a "shopping" channel; and NOT a "Let me telll you about ME" channel. So that's my story. I've been a Q member for 37 years. It is pitiful how things have changed for the worse. Very Sad.

Couldn't agree more.So many of the hosts are unwatcvhable now. They spend sooo much time on a product and seem to feel like they need to add personal filler into the conversation to take up some time. If we have to hear JT talk one more time about her kids! How she hasn't been fired yet is beyond me.

Agree! The new owners may be going for a lower demographic so they are hiring younger hosts, but guess what? That younger demographic can't afford the higher prices that we've seen across the different lines. It's a bad combination! I used to spend thousands each year, but rarely watch anymore. The presentations are too sterile, the prices are insane! I can go to Macy's and find something similar for half the price. The trend is finally going back to brick & mortar, look at how Home Goods is stopping its online ordering. No paying for shipping, that I noticed Q has increased, and people like to touch, feel and try on things so they don't have to come back. I'm afraid the Quakity Value and  Convenience has seen better days!

Well said Hemmy, way too many expensive purses, vacuum cleaners & overpriced hair products to name a few! Rarely watch anymore but when I post about it I am chastised! That is my opinion ,  not trying to offend anyone.

It's like QVC managment wants QVC to fail.

QVC has been on a steady decline, while other retailers stepped up their game long before the pandemic or supply issues, QVC has been going downhill long before any of this occurred.....they are now in double digit declines and sales are now down 11% for the Christmas season and for the year overall...it used to be 5% decline at one time......Yes, change is good, but QVC is not making the RIGHT CHANGES.....the majority of the hosts are annoying, act silly and immature and most host view the presentations as their personal talk show, it seems the hosts want to be models instead of letting the actual models model the clothes And QVC doesnt need 2 or 3 hosts in one show!!..The entertainment angle and the extra streaming host shows IS JUST NOT WORKING IN TERMS OF SALES..While these may be enjoyable for host "fan clubs" these people dont seem to be making actual PURCHASES! ..product information is limited, and the financial reports arent good....."

When and WHY did you turn this post into Jane bashing? SO mean and unnecessary. If you don't like a particular host, if you feel the need to talk about her, at least have respect and consideration enough to leave her name out of your mouth.

Re: THE DOWNFALL OF QVC

[ Edited ]

If there is a wrong choice to be made for marketing, pricing, customer incentive, host training, programming, etc., TPTB at QVC will make it. I truly believe they don’t have a clue as to what they are doing and it shows in the reports. Add to that they do not listen to their customers and the Q is in the poor position they are in now and have been in for many a year. They brought it on themselves. Hard to feel sorry for them.

Don't know why the Posters here think that they are the only ones who shop at QVC. If that were so QVC would have gone under years ago. Long live QVC.

I think you are correct in many respects.  I buy very little on Q.  I do enjoy the forums.
