I was a federally and state registered and licensed securities principal for 35 years before I retired. I wouldn't touch this stock, even at $.38 a share.

Q's financial reports continue to show losses and a lot of debt. It's going to take them a looooong time to turn things around... if they even can given their ridiculous marketing schemes, non-competitive prices, slow shipping, slow returns, and general low quality products and outdated electronics.

Q clothing products are totally comparable to many other retailers. Q was never a low price retailer like Walmart, Target, etc. Prices are up everywhere. The rest of the issues you mentioned you are spot on. Beauty products I can get - all clean- much, much less expensive at Amazon and they arrive in 3 days. Except for one sale item of Laura G., haven't bought Q beauty items in years. Just bought a 4 set of Clinique chunky eyeshadow sticks for $29 from Macy's. Delived very quickly.

Qs days are numbered. Online and streaming are coming.

Just my thoughts...

If/when QVC Group goes to all streaming and social media selling, I hope they also update the training and industry sharpness of their Buyers.  I believe and hope they can succeed.  But make it about the items and not the host personalities.

How is it that liquid knit is still pushed out as if it's still popular like it was in the 80's and 90's?  It could very well be their top selling fabric, but that does not mean that top selling revenue is still an impressive number.  Fashion sales have dipped, for many reasons, not least of which is tired old fashions on repeat.

Mass market fashions means less & less impressive on-trend styles.  QVC brought in Carla Rockmore, Lawrence Zarian and others, which is a start at offering more than the typical crew neck high-low sweater -- so that's a good thing.

But over-loading their bets with every iteration of Belle by Kim Gravel items to me is boring and does not entice me to buy at all.

Selling the same old things because they sold well for them before is not that way of 2024/2025.  Customers want new, innovative, at great sales.  Stop with the repeat TSVs, the old versions of electronics & also-ran kitchen items.

They've got to be more nimble in getting new items under contract to sell fast.  That's where social media and live streaming can propel them forward if done sooner than later.  I wish them well, I really do.

I'm glad you find what you like at Q.

I probably need to clarify.

I don't buy Q clothing. There is way too much polyester and spandex in them for my taste. I can find no-iron cotton and quality fabrics elsewhere for the same or less than Q charges for cheap polyester.

I haven't bought makeup from Q in 10-15 years. I can find name brand products locally for less money - countless reliable makeup retailers offer promo codes and coupons.

Other retailers offer real promo codes. Q's measly $15-20 doesn't entice me when I can get better promos everywhere else.

Name brand products on Q are always higher priced than at competitors.... kitchen, electronics, furniture, matresses, etc.

I haven't paid shipping or return costs in ages at other retailers.

I always price shop. The things I want are easily found elsewhere for less money.

QVC's whole " brand" is dated... their model of an hour talking about an item, much of their merchandise , sorr, stuck in the past. If they move to streaming and social media better freshen up the game!

Re: Stock Price

[ Edited ]

Perhaps more changes in the works, as the Board of Directors is likely very unhappy with performance:  CEO Rawlinson's Employment Agreement with the Board ended December 31st.  However, a temporary extension was granted to February 28, 2025 while new contract terms are negotiated.

If an agreement isn't reached his employment terminates end of day February 28th.

I wouldn't be surprised to see him depart (but with a nice severance.)

Intriguing....

This could be just revamping his total compensation package as a result of the all-important 4th Qtr results; meeting certain performance factors.

Or (and my guess, more likely), their confidence about him has eroded; they want new leadership for this new QVC Group vision; they need time to search for a new replacement regardless of the future vision, etc.

February 28, 2024 is when Qurate released 4th Qtr and Year-end 2023 results....

reason?  Think of the products:  "depends" undergarmets, hearing aids, pull on pork chop pocket pants, floral stretchy tops, electric scooters, 1980's leather handbags, temptations,  ... shall I go on?

Per the SEC filing and Agreement Extension, Mr. Rawlinson might expect to leave with a nice parting gift!

"Notwithstanding the foregoing, if you and QRI have neither entered into a new employment agreement nor mutually agreed to a further extension of the Term, in each case, on or prior to February 28, 2025, then your employment will terminate at the end of February 28, 2025, which termination will be treated as a Protected Termination for purposes of the Employment Agreement; provided, however, that the Severance Payments (as used therein) shall equal $1,000,000 instead of the amounts described in Section 7.C(i)(b)."
