Still shipping/receiving nightmares

I ordered several items for Valentine's Day - nothing has moved. I have had several things go to New Jersey to a "shipping partner" - (not sure what that is), but they have been there for days. I live in TEXAS!. Everything is in limbo, again. The customer service people are worthless in answering questions about shipping- it is the weather, no control over what they do at the post office, etc. I know the weather has been bad, but has anyone heard QVC address the shipping problems either on their website, or on the air????? I have not.

Re: Still shipping/receiving nightmares

Do not count on anything to arrive in time for holidays, ever. I've read more broken heart stories here, the kids only Christmas present, etc. Even when they "guarantee" delivery with special shipping, don't buy the hype. Shipping in this country is getting worse, not better. Its not just QVC. I place an order, relax, and am pleasantly surprised when it shows up. It always does, and the returns always do, too.

Re: Still shipping/receiving nightmares

I'm actually pretty ticked with UPS. I was expecting an item yesterday and although we didn't receive the harsh weather others in our region did, I was understanding of a day's delay even if there was no reason for it. That said, today, the roads are perfectly clear and the item has now been at the local UPS warehouse a few miles from me for two days, and I still see a 'delayed because of weather' notice on the tracking page. What a crock... Believe me, there's no rush on this item, other than that I'd like to have it (or I wouldn't have ordered it) and if the weather were a legitimate factor, I'd be completely understanding, BUT when the weather is being used as an excuse, well, that's a whole other kettle of rotten fish! If my little car can make it down the street, then surely their big, ugly brown trucks can do the same.
