I've noticed other brands that have a new vendor rep on the phone, instead of the usual familiar vendor.  

Some here also noticed Bethanie Lori from Vince Camuto was MIA during the recent Big Deal -- they had a different vendor rep, even though on 4/10 Bethanie mentioned she hopes she can still return for VC/QVC.

I wish the best for all during these difficult times.

A "furlough" is a temporary leave of absence; millions of people have been furloughed from their jobs during the virus lock down.  What makes you think Sally won't be back?

@SarahW  I made no absolutes in my statements. My comment was "may not come back."  Sally herself said she "unemployed, after being furloughed by her company."  As I stated, she said she wants to come back.  I have no idea if that means she will get a chance to or not.  

Believe me, having been furloughed in the past by my agency, I know what the word means. 

I merely shared what Sally said.  You can relay your question to her on her social media pages.

I agree.  Sometimes you can tell when the host is uninformed because they will ask the vendor to go through the colors or explain something they don't know.  Even furing food shows sometimes to eat the food, the host will have the vendor do the talking.

It is likely a combination of QVC not having on air vendor salespeople and the vendor company needing to save money due to the lockdown and quarantines. Apparel and shoe manufacturers and retailers are the hardest hit economically as manufacturers and stores are closed with no good idea of when they will reopen. 

I also think vendor reps are likely not direct employees of either QVC or the vendor..they are likely independent contractors and considered as self employed so they are the first to get the axe in a downturn of the economy.

I agree they need fewer vendor reps and the Q hosts should be able to do on their own.

 I'm surprised that Sally has been furloughed, but why is Q using another rep for Earth???   Sally is much better!

I agree. Many of the hosts just go on and on about themselves their own families, and vacations to far away places and don't actually serve a purpose.  The vendors are more than capable of doing the presentation on their own and the focus would be about the product.

The hosts do the same thing depending on what they are presenting.  This is the best...can't live without this...I have all of these things...  Not very genuine.

@SpinHill. The vendors are not supposed to talk about the price, that is the host's job. Nor is the vendor communicating with the show producer like the host is such as which color isn't selling as well so to push that color, etc.

Like another here, I remember when vendor reps, if any, were few and far between.  The host carried the show, had the knowledge, did the presentation.

Poor David...Sunday when he was by himself showing his Lock n Lock configuration, he seemed frantic trying to keep up with the colors that sold out and removing them.

I like David and he's probably presented alone before, but Sunday...I think it was the first item...frantic.  Glad the set did well..with his name on it and everything.

 David seems to be more and more OBSESSED with colors or how many they sold in the show and little else about the products....Its a pet peeve of mind when the vendor is making an important point and David interrupts and says "lets go through the colors" (again!)......I already know them by heart ...

You do realize that they all have an earpiece with a  Producer who is directing the show. It's the producer who tells them when to do colors and when to update sales. It's the producer who "interupts" the host. I find it remarkable that they can listen to the vendor, listen to the producer in their ear and still deliver a cohesive presentation.

Jessie Holeva, the substitute vendor rep for Logo, announced that she too has been let go -- her contract is not being renewed.  After five years she is no longer with the Logo brand.

I kind of thought that might be coming since the new substitute rep for the brand, George, was brought on and we saw less and less of Jessie in the last few months.
