Lost OTA Signal

[ Edited ]

I have been watching QVC (and HSN) via an OTA (over the air broadcast, antenna) for several years in the Northern Virginia market from a station in Manassas.  This afternoon it disappeared.  Why?

@Shawnie    It's been my experience that those stations and their programming constantly move around.  We lost ours for a couple of months and it suddenly reappeared as Channel 11.2 and 11.3 (Q2).  I have no idea why this happens and there's nobody to ask.  You may have to run your channels to find it.  They seem to be rather loosey-goosey operations.

@Shawnie   I also get all the Q and HSN stations on my Roku device which simplifies things.

The channels are there but they are being replaced with Mystery TV and DefyTV.  ****** aimed at Swamp Men, LOL.  I rescanned my tv and they haven't been moved to another channel.  So i thought the mods could find out what the heck is going on.

I watch Q & HSN over the air too & this afternoon both are gone.  Antenna Man on Youtube has a video about subchannel shuffles & why it's happening....it's interesting & sadly more changes are coming in my viewing area.

@Shawnie   I've asked the mods.  They know nothing about that and referred me to the channel finder which just includes cable and satellite channels.

Wait a day or two and rescan.  I betcha they reappear somewhere else.

I don't understand why the mods can't find out who to contact at the company to get information.  The company has paid to broadcast, so they must know whether they have ditched OTA or whether they are looking for another frequency to broadcast.

We still have HSN with our antenna reception but lost QVC which was replaced by QVC 2. It was very disappointing.

The channels are there- check in the lower channels.  In L.A.- they were moved from the 30s down to the 9-5 for QVC and 7-4 for QVC2.

I'm in Oregon and the same thing happened today. I was watching QVC on channel 22.5 on my antenna, went downstairs and when I came back up it was gone.  Guess I will be saving some money.
