I have a couple of pair of longer earrings but nothing as long as the "current" trend version. I won't be buying any either. I've actually found that I am wearing my button/stud style earrings more & more these days.

There are certain pieces of jewelry and clothing that are really for just being seen in but are not entirely practical (and not everything needs to be practical). 

I can't work in bangles or heavy watches.  They annoy me if I have a lot of writing or typing to do.  Even today, I had to take my watch off when I was doing a presentation by phone because it's a loose bracelet watch and kept banging on the desk when I was turning pages. 

I save those impractical things for when I go out at night for a party or something.

I don't think I have a long enough neck for those earings though.

I thought the long earrings looked cute on Carolyn!  I love long earrings and wear them....however i don't want them touching my shoulders.

Everyone gets to wear what they like.  Different strokes for different folks.  But to me, they look like the tassels on drapery tie-backs.

I like the tassel earrings, they seem cute and playful. But my hair is shoulder length and thick...so you don't see the earring as well on me, just a peek of them now and then.  I'm not sure if I'd wear them if I had short hair, but to each her own!  Everyone should wear what makes them happy and feel good.

Hahaha.....i was thinking the exact same thing .....brought me back to Scarlett in Gone with the Wind..... she could have worn them when she made her drapery dress !!

There some earring styles that have gone the "way of all flesh": climbers and those ones that you put in your ears and were chains and dangled down.
