I rarely order but today wanted the nativity and wise men. No Hal's price shipping in the second item which is a total rip-off. Most places are offeringg deals, trying to get or maintain customers. QVC seems to have no clue. I think I posted something similar the last time (Christmas) I actually saw something I wanted and then did not buy that either. It is IMO foolish to ever take something away from a customer. QVC lost a sale today- I never buy here without checking other online prices and $11 to ship two small items is silly. I will find a nativity elsewhere.

Re: Shipping charges

[ Edited ]

I totally agree!  There are so many things that I don't buy from QVC because of the shipping charges.  Also, I've noticed that on many if not most of the x-mas items, the s&h is $5.50.  I'm not going to pay that for each item I order.  They are making a fortune in s&h alone.  The fact that customers do is one reason they continue to charge so much.  When we stop and they lose enough business, perhaps they will change this outrageous policy.

I, too, decided not to make a CIJ purchase because of the $5.50 (per item!) shipping charge. I purchase other items regularly on QVC, but paying $11.00 shipping on two non-heavy items (gift bags - TSV) just seemed too steep for me. I pounce when there is free shipping on an item. I'm wondering if the $5.50 shipping charge will reduce when CIJ ends?

I called because I thought there was something wrong with the website. The customer service rep acted like she could have cared less. They can say this merger of HSN and QVC will rival amazon but that's absurd. If you chat with amazon about an issue they resolve it and the customer is always right. They will do anything to make customers, particularly prime ones, happy. I believe they understand that loyalty works both ways.  QVC does not seem to ever show that same respect. I guess it shows how little interest I have in QVC or their products that it was about this same time last year I learned they had discontinued the decreased shipping and I believe it had been quite some time before that.

I do not understand why a piece of jewerly that is $2,000.00 costs $5.00 to

ship and some food item shipped in a special cooler has free shipping and

handling.  Does QVC really need that $5.00 on an expensive item?  If so

they must be really hard up.

You should actually be thanking the Q for finally waking you up to comparison shopping.  You should have been doing this long ago, and this has little to do with shipping charges.  Many of the retailers who offer free shipping tack the cost back on to the product, so buyer beware.  It's actually more fun to comparison shop anyway.  I find many deals on the Q no matter what the shipping cost is.  The bottom line is the key to success!

The Q is not the only game in town.  There are so many options with free shipping.  The amount of time it takes the Q to ship is out of control  Have no idea why anyone shops here when there are so many places to get free shipping and things arrive in a few days not 10-14.
