Update to my original post:  the package arrived yesterday!  Later than estimated, sooner than I expected.

Like most folks, I can relate. And the issue is not just with packages from the Q.  I sent two boxes of gifts to my two nieces. They live 60 miles away.  The one box arrived in two days but went 75 miles in one direction and then 50 miles in another before going the 60 miles to my one niece. The other box is MIA. The tracking just stops and the post office has no idea where the carton is. The box is insured. But I have to wait several days until I file a claim. In the mean time, I have a six year old niece who is waiting impatiently for her gifts.  The whole postal system seems messed up.

No, it's NOT the most efficient. They've gone to using Mail Innivations, which means UPS picks it up and starts it on its journey, then transfers it to the USPS, which finishes the delivery. That adds between one day (if you're lucky) to three to the delivery time, depending on all the different transfers necessary and how long it sits in one of the shipping depots.

I'm sick of it. My items never arrive on the EDD -- they usually arrive five days later (if they even ship out by the EDD, which is the Q's fault).
