QVC is the only company that I know that has put an item of clothing on sale and then in the next breath raises it to the original cost. It could be the vendor that has that genius idea and not QVC at all but I see it as a "curious" business practice.

QVC is NOT the only place that changes prices...and when they do, it isn't usually on the same day AND they give us a 30 day price guarantee!
Amazon changes prices daily and will NOT give you one cent back when it drops in price the very next day....before your order has even shipped! I am SO sick of getting skunked on Amz, I only shop there as a VERY last resort.
Lunchtime specials on QVC hold their pricing for almost a week now, where it used to only be a couple hours.
All retailers have sales, clearance pricing etc.....and those prices also change.
It is not uncommon at all for a sale to last a limited amount of time.

Women Within catalogs are about the worst.
I looked at their 50% off demim everything "sale".
I also had a previous catalog..In the "sale" catalog everything was doubled in price..then they took 50% off.
Buyer Beware

This is so not true. For example, Old Navy does it all the time. Changes prices daily. Sometimes it's just colors. Also I used to work for a big department store & stuff went on sale & off sale all the time.

Yup, exactly. I bought a pair of MukLuks pajamas two weeks ago, and they were a good price. Once I received them and like them I wanted to buy another pair, and the price it gone back up. It was not a presentation sales price, it was what I thought would be a continuous sale price until the item sells out. Most retail sellers put an item on sale, and keep it on sale until it sells out. They don't play the seesaw game of high and low prices. This is my one pet peeve with QVC.

@RespectLife , Amazon does play pricing games, but at least they are honest. When I find things I want I put them in my cart or wish list, and A always alerts you if the price goes up or in some cases down.

@Gkhm that's not my experience at all. I see it often and have for many years. I buy close to 100% of my clothing in local stores but that includes lots of national chains.

I see this same tactic at every retailer. Prices go up, down, up, down.

@shoechic FYI Old Navy does price adjustments within 14 days. I keep my receipts with me for a few days and when I'm in the store (there's a store around the corner from my job) I'll have the clerk scan my receipt to see if anything went on sale/clearance. if so, they'll credit my card or refund me if I paid in cash.

I don't find it 'honest' to change the price within hours and not give the customer a sale price adjustment on a purchase JUST made.
Esp when it hasn't even shipped.
I leave things in my WL and watch the prices go WAY up and WAY down ALL the time. I'm not talking a dollar or two....large price changes.
It is a foolish gamble with Amazon when you will get the best price or not.
I don't play games like that....their policies do not benefit or value the customer.
Local retailers such as JCP and Macy's also give you a 30 days lower price guarantee.
I have a Wish List filled with items and have never received a notification of a price change. Are you getting emails to this?
It will say it if I go look at my WL, but I have never been notified of such.
