SHARKS RULE, COOK TILL YOU DROP, UNENJOYABLE ENTERTAINING

This Saturday QVC brings their version of SHARK WEEK(END).....

No not these guys....

/></p> <p>Or even this....</p> <p><img src=

No, we are talking about show after show featuring yet another vacuum....{#emotions_dlg.rolleyes}

Shark Rotator Professional Lift-Away Vacuum with 6 Attachments - V32283

Some interesting shark facts---

FACT-Sharks hunt for food, not sport. The shark stalks its prey before going in for the kill. QVC - The QVC hosts stalk their prey (the Q customer) and then go in for kill as the viewer succumbs and makes its purchase!

FACT-While most humans fear the shark, the shark should be the one with fear..since humans accounted for more than 73 million shark deaths.

QVC-Just as many QVC customers fear the Q weekend lineup, as people fear sharks! .....but no where near have 73 million shark vacuums been sold!

And ladies be sure to check out AM Style for fashions featuring the Shark Bite Hem.....

/></p> <p> </p> <p>There are also a couple shows for the TOTAL GYM EXPERIENCE.....</p> <p><span style= Total Gym is the longest-running fitness infomercial to date. Endorsed by Chuck Norris and Christie Brinkley, over 2.5 million units have been sold - making it one of the most successful fitness units ever!

Sorry....neither Chuck Norris nor Christie Brinkley will be making a live appearance....

And more shark shows--- so many shows that its scarier than a Goblin Shark---

/></p> <p> </p> <p>Then there's SUNDAY--</p> <p><img src=

Well its a good thing that QVC featured the Total Gym because Sunday brings an all day COOKING ON Q SPRING EDITION!!!! So after being in the kitchen all day you will need a workout....

The Sunday Shows will be featuring KitchenAid......the applicance with a cute rhyme...

"Kitchenaid For The Way Its Made".....

And it comes in a rainbow of designer colors to complement every kitchen decor. And they aren't kidding either.....why you can even purchase a mixer in the Pantone Color Of The Year---Be on trend and purchase item number K132509....although Q calls it raspberry that sure looks like Orchid to me.

KitchenAid Artisan Design Collection 5qt 325 Watt Stand Mixer - K132509

Be sure to wear a coordinating outfit to be a total fashionista......I'm waiting for the animal print version myself.....{#emotions_dlg.biggrin}

 Pink Kids Size Traditional Chef Hat Item # 350-850

And hold on to your dancing shoes....its a SPECIAL 5 HOUR EDITION OF IN THE KITCHEN WITH DAVID---What "evil" lurks in the mind of Mary as she plots and prepares for the show--

Photo: Kicking off a TSV at Midnight is always exciting. But tonight is Rachel Boesing QVC 's first kickoff ever! She's both nervous and excited. Wishing her luck (and if you're wondering what it is, Mary's modeling right now)... Check it out here >> http://qvc.co/SG_2PieceTSV

It looks like Jasper is ready---

Photo: I'm thinking the new kitty chow was pretty good.

Oh and get ready---some "exciting" news--- Temptations now comes in Spring Colors---Teal, Tangerine, Hot Pink, and Lime! Yes folks, exploding dinnerware isn't just for Thanksgiving and Christmas any more....

Carla Hall's "Carla's Comfort Foods" is featured in cookbook corner.....David, better get the Total Gym .........

And enjoy even more food sampling as Gourmet Holiday features everything from crab cakes to cheese cakes....A mouth watering selection of sweets, meats, and treats perfect for holiday entertaining or gift giving....(As all Q viewers know...makes a great gift for the bus driver or teacher){#emotions_dlg.rolleyes}A note the hosts....please wait to put the food in your mouth and actually taste the food first before going "yum".....{#emotions_dlg.rolleyes}

Enjoyable Entertaining With Jane and KitchenAid--- is next.....the promo reads:

Our program hosts have been entertaining for years, and they're happy to pass on what they've learned, you can enjoy it too. we'll show you how to be the host with the most!.

I just report em, I don't write these promos....But I know Jane will be sharing so many of her own personal stories (ad nauseam).....makes perfect viewing for the entire family.....And I know you will be taking notes to be the hostess with the most!...host with the most what you ask.....you fill in the blank....{#emotions_dlg.rolleyes}

The day closes with yet another QVC "star"....why it's more than a blender....put your hands together for VITAMIX...what a way to close out the day....This item is on so much it should present itself.....{#emotions_dlg.glare}

Vitamix Creations GC 48oz. 12-in-1 Variable Speed Blender - K37654

Yes folks, another "exciting" weekend filled with "thrills" and "chills"....I definitely will be doing something else and won't be watching....{#emotions_dlg.glare}

Re: SHARKS RULE, COOK TILL YOU DROP, UNENJOYABLE ENTERTAINING

Everybody now... Oh what a relief ittttttttttt isssssss...

Sorta makes you wonder if among the associate producer's duties is preparing the Alka Seltzer for the star after all that, uh, conspicuous consumption... and happy dancing...?

And just think Spurt, today was all day beauty. First day back at the workplace and was looking forward to coming home kicking off my boots and watching the Lisa show tonight. No such luck. I guess it's preempted for YET another hour of hair and make-up... Come on, as if there wasn't already enough hair and make-up DURING the LRS and, of course, the FNB hour that always follows.

Sooooooooooooo, I guess that means there's no Q in my future at all this weekend. Too bad too, because the weather here tomorrow is supposed to be perfect stay inside weather, featuring heavy rain... Oh well... But wait, on second thought, since I see that the OMQ is deep-sixing YET another line of products, perhaps I will watch one of the swan song shows for the Jackie Kennedy jewelry collection. That's our moms... she won't be happy until the only jewelry coming from the Q is foisted out there by our very own queen or features bronze and black spinel...

What can I say but...

NEXT!

Re: SHARKS RULE, COOK TILL YOU DROP, UNENJOYABLE ENTERTAINING

The only "bright side" to this is......DYSON is the TS on the Southern Channel!!!!!!!!{#emotions_dlg.rolleyes}

I feel your pain, stevie...a rainy weekend is NOT what I wanted either (as I'm shaking my sinus/allergies/gunk in the chest from this g'awful winter in the MidAtlantic). The thought of ITKWD for FIVE big hours on Sunday makes me want to vomit. Please tell me that The Nordic FratBoy is not co-hosting!

SPURT, as usual, you outdid yourself w/ the highlights/lowlights of the Q weekend! I think I'll be watching the Food Network Reruns...

Another freakin' mixer. Good lord, I knew this was coming but out of force of habit I checked out the website anyway and just shook my head in amazement... and not in a good way. Simply unbelievable.

Hey Stevie.....

LOL.....I'm really surprised that moms hasn't offered a supply of Alka Selzter as an additional purchase along with their kitchen items, and especially that so called "gourmet" food.....it seems like a natural partnership....moms missed out on some additional profits....{#emotions_dlg.laugh}

OY they have enough beauty shows Tuesday Night Beauty, FNB and then beauty infiltrates all the so called fashion shows too...and then the numerous beauty vendor hours and beauty TSV's......so that's just what we do NOT need another day of beauty....{#emotions_dlg.rolleyes} Look up OVERKILL in the dictionary and there's a picture of moms....{#emotions_dlg.glare} So I was so happy that a Spurs game was scheduled and I was invited over to my friend's house to watch the game....a charming couple....he's a Redskin fan and she likes any team EXCEPT the Cowboys, but we all love our SPURS!...{#emotions_dlg.biggrin}

As for the Jacqueline Kennedy Collection.....yes another unique vendor bites the dust...but I think this one was doomed because Phillip mentioned that Caroline had become (a pain in the rear---my words) and restrictive on the pieces that he could offer (especially the crosses) and then the Czech factory that made the ceramic pearls was considering closing...at least that was what I heard him say in past shows....so well it appeared what he could offer was very little variety any more...But I enjoyed the shows, one of the few unique and enjoyable ones, and I liked hearing the stories and seeing the photos...He had mentioned in one previous show a while back about maybe offering an Audrey Hepburn collection....Did he mention anything on any of his last few shows?....Someone mentioned the JK Collection to Linda Moss (HomeShoppingnista Blog) and she was going to get some background info on what exactly happened......

Yep all we mostly have left is QOH and David M....so jewelry on the Q is a joke...beside QOH we get David M's taste and he is blinded by the buyers because they are Italian!!!! (hey David M, I have some Italian roots too...LISTEN TO ME!!!...stop buying this qwap and bring us REAL jewelry...and no bronzo or spinel PLEASE!) {#emotions_dlg.angry} Oh they will throw us an occasional bone....but these shows are extremely rare....Oh moms and David what have you wrought!!!

P.S. I did think of you when I saw that pix with "your man"....{#emotions_dlg.devil2}

P.S.S. Check out that thread on the Beauty Banter where the OP chastises another "favorite" yep its the "schoolmarm" who someone took offense to her talking over THE QUEEN OF ARGAN OIL and glad that she let the marm have it....quite humorous thread...and the OP called Jill "elderly"....{#emotions_dlg.laugh}

And I think it was interesting when Carolyn said that light pink was exclusive because they sell light pink at Kohl's. In fact, they have 23 (!) colors in one model of the mixer.

SPURT, I enjoyed the JK shows, too, the few times I watched. Never bought anything but very informative and lots of the jewelry was attractive and unique. I, myself, miss Black Hills Gold shows. Another US-made line slowly being phased out. At least Kohl's sells the same company's offerings, often on sale, although jewelry has become too pricey for me (got to pay for those new horseshoes!).Wink

Hmmm... Miz Moss, as usual, seems to offer not much, other than speculation, that hasn't already been said on these very boards. Honestly, for all the actual inside QVC information she seems to be able to come up with about just about anything I sometimes think we might as well start our own blog... I missed all the Kennedy shows yesterday. Forgot they were on, but really, so be it... I'd seen a few over the years and the stories and the jewelry were pretty much the same, and besides, the late show I intended to watch was hosted by Sharon, who's always worth missing... As for the dramatic 'breaking of the molds', well, I suppose it was effective television, since I read where it brought a tear to several a poster's eyes... Oh well, as they say, when it's gone, it's gone...

As for the mixer, well nix to the mix... they can wheel it out in fifteen more colors and I'll still have no more interest in it than I do in multiple hours of QVC's very own version of the Pillsbury Dough Boy in that blasted kitchen...

I turned on the Q last night. Shocking, I know, but there was NOTHING on TV and I do rather like Laura and Lisa together and they are paired so rarely, so I watched. Foolishly, I didn't change the station immediately upon the ending of the Geller shows and who to my wondering eyes should appear but that other Q staple, yes that man o' mine... Fortunately, while there was still nothing on worth watching, the on-off 'device' was handy, and so, well, off he went...

And right you are Bonnie, something is only special when it's, well, special and YET another marathon is NOT special. I ask you, how can anything they do ALL THE TIME be special? Someone really should pose that question to dear, sweet seemingly senile moms...
