QVC started offering $3.00 S&H but they are doing us no favors!! We no longer get our original S&H back with returns. They are actually ahead and making more money by doing what they did!! Do they think we're stupid?! {#emotions_dlg.sneaky}

So, because you purchased something you did not like, made a rash decision which you later regretted, or simply change your mind, you expect QVC to absorb the shipping and pass the charges along to others?

It is very difficult to purchase online and not have some problems with fit or fabric at some point.It was nice to pay only one of the shipping charges to return an item which made me take a chance on things working out but now I will take less risks.

I don't know why anyone thinks the only reasons to return something is because we made a rash decision, or didn't like it, or changed our minds. There is another reason... what we think will fit and look nice according to the size and measurements AND what is said during the presentation, doesn't look anything at all like it looked on the models or how the hosts said it would look. We may like it, and still want it, but it just doesn't look right on our body type or whatever... it's not always because people make bad decisions. I think a lot of us have seen the models turn slightly around sometimes and see the way the garment is pinned up in the back to make it look better from the front. {#emotions_dlg.glare}

If you go in any B&M store and try on your usual size, you may have to try on 10 different things to get something that looks like you want it to look. Sometimes the same thing in the same size fits differently. Same with QVC.

QVC made the decision to refund original shipping in their old policy, and made a VERY BIG DEAL out of it. "Try it on, wear it for 30 days, if you don't like it, return it!" Why wouldn't people take advantage of that opportunity if they wanted a particular piece of clothing? Especially when they're having it thrown in their faces hundreds of times a day to DO IT. And they're still repeating it time after time after time... the only difference is, now it's going to cost us more just to try something. I certainly never wore anything before returning it, but I was willing to try to get something I liked and which fit me well.

I do very little online or catalog shopping, and QVC used to be the one place where I could count on the fit and how the garment would look. That's changed in the past couple of years, and my willingness to risk my money has changed with it.

I return very little clothing. I will give it away if I can't wear it. But, I was going to buy multiple colors in an item the other day. There was no "buy more, save more" discount, which I found ridiculous, so I didn't buy at all. It was four or five different colors of the exact same item!

Kittymom, you said it very well. I think that most people dIdn't abuse the old return policy, or wear a garment for a month and then return it. This is just a profit-grab by the Q, and l believe it will backfire.

It would back fire if some people didn't have more money than brains.

Your comments (no matter the topic) are always so supercilious and condescending. Why?

I watched the Susan Graver TSV all day (it was during a snow storm), and I have a very similar top like the one she was presenting. I purchased 4, and when I got them home they were NOTHING like they were represented to be. The top has 70 ONE star reviews out of 130. Does that tell you something? Was it really the consumer's fault? I don't think so. I sent an email/letter to CS telling them how a misrepresentation of this kind should not penalize the customer. Obviously, a lot of women were dissatisfied. To return all 4 tops is going to cost me over $20. I would have kept all 4, and loved them if they came to my house looking the way they did during the presentation.

I am very careful about what I buy. I participate in the forums, and ask questions, before I hit the submit button. Also, I put things on check hold and think about a purchase for a few days before I submit payment (5/10 times I change my mind and don't order) ...what else can we do to be careful about not returning? This new policy stinks!

Also, when reading the one star reviews on the SG TSV, I noticed a lot of women saying they will only buy items that have 4 star reviews or better. I do the same thing. Ladies, please write reviews. It really helps others. I also buy as-is items b/c they typically have ben around for awhile, and you can get an idea of the overall features of the item.

We do take a chance with a TSV because it hasn't been tried and true, so that's the biggest gamble!

Since QVC policy changes regarding shipping and refunds, it appears, at least to me, that the costs for clothing and jewelry have gone up considerable. Way up!! A Graver SLEEVELESS snip of a blouse for $46.00 + shipping!! I don't think so. A Ripka cuff for $600.00. I think I will be shopping Macys and my other local department stores.
