Revers-a-Brella Presentation

I feel so sorry for everyone who is ordering this set of umbrellas, especially those who are ordering multiple sets for gift giving. These are the worst umbrellas ever! I ordered a set a while back, and BOTH of them broke the first time I used them. They are complete junk. I was not able to return them because it didn't rain until way after the 30-day return window. Every time I see that girl presenting this product, I feel lied to, and I'm shocked QVC is selling such a terrible product. It really makes me mad!

Have you called Customer Service to see if you can still return them since they have broken?

@TaylorBrown-- No, I did not call. I should have, but I was so angry, I just threw them in the garbage. My bad!

I'm sorry yours broke, that's awful.

But I imagine the reason they are presented so often is because, like me, customers love those umbrellas. I've had mine for three years, and have given them not as gifts but just because they're great umbrellas. Everyone I have given one loves them also.

@Caaareful Shopper-- glad to hear you've had a good experience -- I really am! I know I'm not the only one that's had trouble with these umbrellas. I read many, many bad reviews from people with stories like mine. I guess it's just the luck of the draw. Good for you though for having a working umbrella )

@Kachina624-- I definitely did write a bad review -- and I don't like to write bad reviews! I try not to leave a bad review when it's only a matter of opinion. In this case, I felt obligated to warn other buyers.

I bought one last year. Haven't used it that much to speak to the quality of it, but I bought one of the mini's. I suppose it's the nature of the way the umbrella is designed, but I was disappointed in how large a mini was. When I think of mini, it's something that I can fit inside my purse. This thing was way too big for that.

My other complaint is just a very minor one. Mine is a beautiful rose when opened, but when it's closed it's just red with a large black border. I would rather have the same design inside and out. Sure, it's not going to look like a rose when closed, but I still think it would look a lot better.

Thank you for the warning...I considered getting them for Christmas gifts....but after reading the reviews first... and then your blog, I’m glad I didn’t order.
