Why is QVC taking so long to credit or report on returns?  HSN is doing it much faster.

STOP using their snail mail return label!

I return on my own dime and receive my credit in no more than 7 days.

And usually I don't pay much more than what their label costs.

I stopped using the prepaid label and paid for return postage myself. One credit came through about a week later. It takes over a month with the prepaid label.

Thanks for the info.  I have been returning things with their label and it's taking forever.  I tracked my latest return and it says they have it but I haven't seen a refund in my bank account.

I returned several items in one box a while ago and mailed it priority with the USPS.  I waited a few weeks and never heard anything about my return.  I finally emailed

QVC Social:  QVCSocialTeam@qvc.com

I had to scan and email them a copy of my receipt from the post office and then my returns were credited right away.  I wonder how long it would have taken if I hadn't emailed them?  Or if I didn't have my receipt from the post office?  I learned my lesson.

Thank you so much for that hint!  I never thought that using their return label would interfere with the progess of the return!  Glad I posted!  Tired of waiting for return to credited.

@cddh  I've found that if you use the prepaid label it takes much longer than just going to the post office and mailing it. I don't know why but it does.

Most company's return labels go via parcel post....the slowest mail option offered by USPS.  Parcel post also relies on third parties to move mail from location to location and they wait until it's profitable.  I can only imagine how much slower it will be with the postmaster removing machines and services.

I print my 2-3 day priority mail postage at usps.com.

  • You get free tracking and delivery confirmation.
  • My mail carrier will pick up mail so I put the envelopes in my mail box.  If I have a box, I put it at my front door with a a note on the mailbox.
  • You can set up notifications when you set up a label (but sometimes they don't work so I go back and reset).
  • You can get priority mail envelopes and boxes for free at any postal location or order online and I keep a small supply on hand.

You'd be amazed how much I can fit inside the priority mail envelopes even if it takes extra tape!

I've got 2 returns that were picked up by the shipping agent July 21st.  Today is Aug 25th.  They were both easy pay items so I'm not waiting on a large refund so I'll give it more time.

If I have a return in the future, I may pay for the postage myself and see if it's faster.   The only thing is you have to watch and make sure you don't get the postage fee subtracted from your refund.  I've read that happens frequently on those who paid for their own postage.
