Why is QVC charging more than S&H for returned products?   I was charged $10.45 to return a top thay was only $3.50 to send to me originally?

@gaga.  2hen you return something you're charge the original $3.50 shipping fee plus postage for the return, usually $6.95 for clothing.  It's been that way for years and is described on the website.

Re: Return charges

For that price it would have been cheaper to keep the top?

I just ordered 2 large 90 ct boxes of lawn bags, plus a big box of TGI Friday potato skins from Sam's. Have been wanting some of these for a long time.

Shipping on all that was only $8.31.

@gaga

IF you used their return label, that is correct.

Lose original shipping charge $3.50, lose the return label fee $6.95 = $10.45 loss..

IF you paid for your own return, then contact CS but you still lose the original shipping.

As mentioned, it has indeed been this policy for years now.

@Nightowlz.  All the large shippers get preferential shipping rates.  If you took it to the post office to mail, it would probably be double.

@gaga  Not in our lifetime so don't hold your breath wondering.

@Mz iMac   As a Prime Member I always factor in my annual fee to justify ZERO return fees from Amazon.

QVC has been doing this as long as I can remember.  It's definitely not new.

Amazon makes a fortune off of prime members, so it won't happen there unless their popularity drops significantly.
