I know this topic has been discussed ad nauseum, but does anyone else find the calls so cringeworthy of late?  Some of the callers will just gush over the vendors telling them how much they love them and think they're so wonderful. The intense fawning over them by the callers just makes me wince, but then I've never liked the calls.

I stopped listening to the testimonial calls when a woman called during a skincare presentation and said that she was seventy years old and did not have any wrinkles because she used the product.

The very worse calls are during the Kim Gravel show.  And then, after a long sad story, either the host or Kim will say, " call again anytime", so they ask for it.  One elderly lady over they weekend said she'd call back next time Kim's on the air.  Oh no, no.

I don't want to seem that I lack compassion, because I do feel bad for some of the callers.  But yes, I agree, all calls are cringey and an immediate channel changer.

I don't pay attention and don't really care one way or another about testimonial calls.

Some of the callers are probably lonely and need to talk to someone...anyone.  It's a shame for shut-ins who are all alone.

TV shopping is the only interaction with humans they have.  I can live with it.  I feel bad for them.

My concern has always been that it sounds like when listening to some of these callers how much in debt are they to QVC.  I know that I am judging and I do apologize but It is easy to get caught up in the shopping experience and overspend with the "it's only xxx" per month on easy pay spiel.

Ha!  Made me think of JM's spiel about the French woman who looked like she was 40 but was actually 70 due to her using ARR-gan oil!

 Cringe !

Do without the calls , used to be that  many callers  gave some  design requests or asked intelligent questions . There always has been  the callers who are seeking emotional support  or continued sympathy  which are the calls , I do not want to hear .

There are community support systems all over the country , but lonely  and grieving people need to reach out to them ..

Just a few days ago a vendor was presenting her TSV capris and a caller said she loved them because she doesn't wear shorts,

The vendor said she wears capris for the same reason...she doesn't wear shorts.

About 2 items later the vendor had shorts on professing her love for the shorts she was presenting.

I have never liked callers because most of them time they sound very insincere to me and the vendors and host agree with everything they say.
