@JYWilliams   Exactly!!!  I don't watch, but I do buy online on website. More convenient, moves faster, no phone calls, I can get measurements, land of origin and more details.   It works for me!

I don't mind them and find a lot helpful. Callers come from all over and from many different circumstances. Some who are sad and/or lonely get comfort by talking to a host and vendor.

Some ask questions about items that are answering questions I have myself.

I have never seen a host not be gracious. Some people just need that affirmation, and I'm glad others care.

Remember when Leah was on and the caller started cussing out someone in her house while on air?  Leah was like uh oh....well it's live tv folks!

Absolutely cringe worthy.  Hate the calls.

Does anyone remember years ago the woman who used to call in regularly and say she just got married?  It went on for years.  I think the screeners tried to head her off at the pass, but she continued to get through.  You could see the look on the faces of the hosts when they knew it was her.

Totally agree @faeriemoon, the calls are so cringe and I'm where I can't listen to them.  I didn't hear that one but remember a call with Shawn and the 8 Greens lady.  The guy was going on and on gushing about the product and SK was really egging him on to keep saying more when he spouted the F word. They ended the call with Shawn and the vendor just speechless at that point.

I know this topic has been discussed ad nauseum, but does anyone else find the calls so cringeworthy of late?  Some of the callers will just gush over the vendors telling them how much they love them and think they're so wonderful. The intense fawning over them by the callers just makes me wince, but then I've never liked the calls.

Hate them. Instant mute

Most of the callers are in bad need of counseling.

A call makes my remote fly into action. Gushing is over the top. Some calls make me want to sad for the caller.

I see no reason to gush and get so excited about talking to a host. To me, they are salespeople who happen to be on tv.

I was invited to talk on air once with Pat James Dementri and Lee Sands. I bought a watch from him. I did it because at that time if chosen to speak one got to spin the wheel. I received $30.00 credit. Sounds tacky now!

The worst call in I heard was a male asking Dan Hughs about Howard Stern's p***s. CUT. Dan also continued on as if nothing happened. I can't stand women with the gravel voices and I wonder if they still smoke!

Rarely does someone adds a good  useful idea about the product tip or quality. Call ins are dated and usually cringe worthy and don't enhance a presentation.

I don't mind testimonials. Lots of them go into particular illness being suffered.

Results from skin care are interesting. If they feel those "miracle" results, that's good for business. After all, they keep buying.

One thing I'll never forget about testimonials with Lisa Robinson. I've never since heard anyone get so many calls, every call telling her she was beautiful and they loved her. I mean that, never a call w/o telling her how beautiful. I never hear this done with other hosts. And nobody gets calls like she got. Not Kim, not SK, not Amy, and not Princess Courtney.
