I wear clothing that makes me feel happy on a down day.
i’d opt for clothing with the saying inside so only I knew it was there. I don’t feel I wear clothing with sayings to tell anybody else how to feel and I am a bit surprised you would interpret it that way. (It’s ok if you do but why do you? I am truly curious)
JLO is shown wearing this brand and the leg says “Love” or “Peace” or some such thing. So? I think that is nice that SHE FEELS THIS WAY. What’s the harm?
Maybe it should say “I stand for world peace.” That’s too many words, tho, and so it would Booger up the clothing.
Two observations: anything “preachy” bugs me and this includes companies presenting (I didn’t listen yesterday)
Also, whatever is plastered in white down the sleeves of the other jean jacket (the one I purchased is plain) I do not care for (in reference to me wearing it).

@LTT1 Looky here: From my original post:
The reason I say that is because it's not like the person wearing the clothing can see it....can they. That's why I resent anyone telling me (who will be looking at them how to feel).
I think you answered your own question. I'm not sure "I" understand your question to me. If a person is wearing a T shirt (or anything) to make themselves feel good, I would think (if it's worn on the OUTSIDE) they'd either need to be looking in the mirror or "what"? in order to "see" what they are wearing.
I also said I could care less what people wear or want to wear. Just as I wouldn't enjoy going into a room where everyone was wearing a particular politician's name on their shirt, I wouldn't enjoy going into a room seeing any words repeated. I know I'm not making sense because I don't quite understand what you are asking me?
I am saying that I (personally) feel (I am entitled to my opinion....right?) that I/me/myself feels like it's a bit 'preachy' for someone (they can't see it, can they) to walk around with "Love Each Other" or something like that on their clothing.
I just realized as I sit here two of my favorite shirts I wear around the house have the word "breathe' on it. Would I wear it out of the house? No way, it's just for wearing around the house. It fits all of my qualifications (won't bore you with what those are) for wearing something around the house. I don't even know who makes the thing except I bought them on QVC.
So, finally (wordy, I know...but then...that's me..right). I don't care if someone plasters on their forehead "Love me" , just don't expect me to hang out with them or hug them.

OK... BUT
if I were to clarify, “I stand for saving trees” you’d get the point, right? You might even ask me, “gee, you believe in saving trees?” (Although that would be nice for you to ask me, I don’t think you would do it if you felt you would get trounced on with a lecture by me)
This is funny really because I don’t choose to wear stuff to start conversations. If you saw me I guess we couldn’t be friends because you would be so put off by all the words coming at you.
Just to be funny I’m going to post some words on clothing, if there even are any.
My DD looked at me in such a strange way when I wore a top at their house that said “Be Amazing.” LOL
She must have been thinking how much she hated my top. LOL
Gee, what else is there to say?
Just Watch... the stuff I ordered will get here and swallow me up whole... then all of this will have been for NADA!

@Kachina624, OMG, you sound like it is so "beneath" you, just because you don't like it, doesn't mean it is wrong! I bet you wear Logo, ....... the bag lady look, LOL!

@LTT1 OK, but I still don't understand what it is you were asking me about my post. I repeated that if someone wants to wear a shirt that says 'something' more power to them but I don't want to wear one ..... out of my house.
I've also said over and over I like things to match. I don't think I'd find anything that would match those clothes.
Look, if you watch the way Mary Beth dresses sometimes (i.e. Denim & Co jacket with a white or colored blouse under it with the collar and sleeves pulled out). That's how I dress most of the time when I go out (with jewelry matching).
I wish I'd have dressed like that when my husband was alive (he'd have been very happy) but when he died, I decided to never wear the same type of stripped collar-less shirts and jeans again.
If I was a young model and knew the difference in what's in or out, I might be qualified to tell people what to wear, but I'm a 71 year old grandma with 7 grandchildren. They probably wouldn't go out with me if I wore something really 'interesting' (or they'd tell me). Two of the girls are teenagers. I spend a lot of time with them (i.e. movies, lunch, dinner, shopping).
I don't see them wearing clothes with lettering on them. They dress in the latest style.
These clothes that were recently on seem to me to be more work out clothes. Although some of the sights I see (mostly women) wearing.....well.. It has nothing to do with money, (none of the clothes I saw on QVC were what I'd call inexpensive) nor are the clothes I see these women wearing out. The one's I see is simply because they don't take the time to dress......well....like they've looked in the mirror.
I think I'm getting off subject, but I don't understand why you specifically mentioned me and what you want me to answer to? I think I tried to answer.

@LTT1 I should probably have added that there are two people on this website who know me and I think they'd tell you I don't lie nor do I exaggerate.

Well, that's fine- you don't have to - but I thought this thread was about who was first on QVC.

Slogans on adult items that promote ultruistic living or political/religious beliefs, or slogans bragging on achievements often bring out the snide side; does “My kid beat up your honor student” ring a bell? You need thick skin I guess to wear peace on your chest.
