What about taking down something when it may be headed towards being heated ( I tried to paraphrase what I wanted to refer to )

If you believe that QVC is blocking your right freedom of speech, please go back to civics 101.
QVC is a private company and has the right to monitor and censor as they see fit. If the police come and arrest you for your last QVC post, by all means, please let us know that your freedom of speech is at risk. Until then, no, QVC is not violating your freedom of speech.
And please also remember that freedom of speech does not guarantee you freedom of consequences of your own speech.

So in general what subjects are you refering to? Give us some examples of non political subjects that have been taken down. We don't need the name of the person we can figure it out.
I will add that if a thread is about a political person, that thread is by definition political. I'm starting to wonder whether some simply don't understand the definition of "political."
Well last week we had a poster continually insisting that the thread about the debates wasn't political. Never could figure out how it wasn't.

I completely get it. Sometimes they're too quick on the draw... and what we're free to post and to discuss here can be infuriatingly limited... and I see nothing wrong with saying so or with pointing out when we think a post or topic has been inappropriately withdrawn. Regardless, the whole free speech mantra is getting old and, as far as it goes, like I said, it is what it is. We can advise them of what we think about their choices and, who knows, maybe at some point one of us will strike a chord and they'll hear what is being said, but the reality remains that they do what they want to do and we can either live with it, as best we can, or we can move on...

Seems like some may have gone off the deep end.

I agree with Chickenbutt, the cries of Free Speech are tedious and ridiculous here on the Q's boards. Not to mention redundant !! We are in someone else's home, their rules apply. If you are in someone elses home and they ask you not to smoke, you don't smoke, if they ask you to be quiet, you should be quiet. It is not rocket science. If you don't like the rules of someone else's household, you leave.
IMO, Free Speech and manners should go hand in hand. Free Speech doesn't mean one is devoid of decency, kindness, and respect.

@missy1 wrote:Yes, this is a private board I agree (you can't say what you really want to). The problem like posters mentioned in C.C., is that the posts that are removed are very inconsistent. Replies are subjective between mods. One may think it's fine, the other not. Also, some posters say basically the same thing, but one of them will get their posts removed only. Is it because the mods have their favorites (based on hearts, or how many times the poster reports inapropriate content)? Do some of the posters collaborate/work with the mods? (There's a few select posters that continue to need brownie points or run the board)........IMO
Aack, we've been outed! Yes, there is a cabal of a few select posters who collaborate with the moderators. Our evil plan is working
Yes, it most certainly is... *muahaha*

this is after all, a forum on a SHOPPING site. They could restrict our chats to "just about the products sold" So we should be glad we get to chat about the things we do.
