Every item in my QVC wish list has increased in price this week: apparel, handbags, home decor, jewelry. Same over at HSN with my favorites list there. One item went from about $440 to over $490 (a piece of furniture).

And I know what you mean....especially clothing, QVC prices keep going up and up and up on QVC...come on $83 for an average looking top....I can go to Dillard's and find similar tops for $34-$39 REGULAR PRICE.....and the DESIGNER labels are still LOWER at $59-$69........REGULAR PRICE....And they usually have a GOOD SALE GOING ON and FREE SHIPPING! Time to cut expenses QVC ---stick with ONE TV CHANNEL and you wouldnt need as many hosts and production people and maybe you could lower the prices to bring in MORE SALES!!!

Theres very little "V" left in the QVC name. Even quality has slipped in recent years. I got Bethlehem Lights glitter sprigs that lasted a week. They used to have quality assurance people rigorously test items. I guess theyve stopped doing that also. Im shopping at Kohls more and more for apparel and even Walmart.

I find QVC prices to be quite high for the most part. I do have a few favorites that I love. But t-shirts & many other items in department stores go on sale all the time & using your store card offers even more rewards. I have found many unique items in my local stores & I take advantage of their sales. I think we are all paying to watch clothes & every other item they sell being modeled. And we have to pay shipping & handling to get it to us. If it doesn't fit or you don't like it they usually don't have a replacement. So that about $11.00 to try something on. If it's decor it's the same.

Totally agree regarding QVC prices getting out of control and styles/quality getting worse.
Blouses at $89 ? ,and not anything special.I think they are looking to compete with Amazon with free shipping ( a lot of free shipping lately ), and need to raise prices. They will be pricing me right out of ordering.

I'm a sewer and have been since Junior High school. I've also sewn for theater productions and there's also a side to the size/material thing that's obvious. Yes, more material means more money, but so does the time it takes to sew the garment. Twice the material may also means twice the time it takes to sew and finish a seam. Twice the time means more pay for the sewer whether by the piece or by the hour, it is just plain more laborious.
I agree that the price of things has gone up and I suspect it will continue to do so. I watched the jewelry show today and the gems were lovely but there wasn't anything I could buy without serious thought as to price. I've bought a lot of jewelry over the years and many things were spur of the moment (that I'm really grateful to have) but those days seem to be over for me at least.... prices are high.
I used to buy Susan Graver ALL the time but I'm not going to pay the prices now being asked. I also find that the quality isn't what it used to be.... sad. ![]()

And you can question the "Q" too....sometimes the quality isn't there in the clothes either.....I purchased a D&C top that I returned, the fabric was so flimsy and chintzy....Walmart had better quality same style ....

Thanks for your kind words....QVC needs to take a step into the REAL RETAIL WORD and stop comparing themselves to Boutiques and stores that as the vendors say, add a 1 in front of the price....this is NOT where the majority of their customer base shops....we comparison shop and look for the best deal......I guess the Q "fan club" is the base that buys at QVC.....but the "fans" arent enough to keep the revenue and sales up....

@Spurt Yw :-) I totally agree with you. I HAVE to look for the cheapest option available and most of the time that is NOT here. I don't care about name brand clothing, for one I cannot afford it and I just want to wear what is comfortable! I literally live in leggings, bearpaw boots, and a shirt. That is my get-up every day. I have around 10 pairs of leggings and probably 10 shirts or so and I just rotate them out lol...I really don't care about "fashion" again I just want to be comfortable. That being said, I don't look like a slob or anything....my outfits are cute, but they're comfy!!
I would venture to say that there are MORE budget conscious shoppers than those where budget doesn't matter. I could be wrong, but that is just my opinion. So, why they have $145 shirts beats me lol. Even if I had that kind of money I wouldn't buy something like that. IMO there is NO shirt that is worth that lol but if someone wants one and can afford it, then go for it. My point is, I agree that their customer base would probably rather see several "affordable" ($30 or less) shirts/pants than $145 shirt/pants...
Again these are just my opinions, but I do hope that they seriously start to consider that it would be nice for those of us who cannot afford $40 tops/pants to have some options too other than trying to snag a clearance item when usually they don't have your size/color, etc...very few options if any.
End of rant lol thanks for reading
