Qurate Retail Total Operating Income: Positive $152 million
QXH Division Operating Income: Positive $107 million
No "losses" reported except in The Cornerstone Group.

There was a boost on Wall Street yesterday. Today, Qurate stock is under 50 cents. 50 cents.

Sales are down. Operating income is down. Moving money and debt around.
I did not see any good news in that report.

Qurate stated that they have a new strategy to be aimed at reaching audiences. They are going to focus that strategy on social media platforms.
Qurate will be announcing that strategy at Liberty's Investor Day on Nov. 14.

Operating Income is definitely not down.
It is up (quarter over quarter) at QXH and basically flat for Qurate in total.

@Tori3569 The adjusted OIBDA (Operating Income Before Depreciation and Amortization) was 278 million in the 3rd quarter of 2023, and 252 million in the 3rd quarter of 2024.

@They CallMe MRWILKES That's not what I see when I look at the report. But whatever, don't really care. Bottom line is that the company is still not doing well.

One shouldn't discount completely the impact of the news cycle and competing events on sales among those who watch television in order to buy.
During a significant news event this summer an almost immediate sales drop per hour was seen as viewers switched away. Soon sales per hour had dropped 50%.
Similarly, duting the Olympics Opening Ceremony recorded sales per hour fell about 10%.
