As is, is either returned or used on air.  Usually they are items that were tried on and returned because they didn't fit.  Just like items tried on in a B&M fitting room.  I have purchased countless as is items throughout the years, and have always received items in pristine condition.  Unless the item is listed as final sale, it can always be returned.  Even final sale items can be returned if received damaged.  If it is an item you want, try it.

Re: QUESTION: What Is AS IS ???

I've purchased a number of "as is" items over the years and never had a problem.  As I recall, they are returnable if you are unhappy.  They are most often very good values.  So, go for it!

They've offered "as is" for years.  I've bought several items and never received anything in "crummy" condition.   The prices have been great.

Re: QUESTION: What Is AS IS ???

As far as as-is clothing goes, I have never had to return anything.  I have purchased some as-is shoes; one pair had a few scuffs but the others were fine.  Of the few as-is handbags I have purchased, one came missing its storage bag and one had a small scratch; others perfect. A Temptations tea-kettle was like new.  On the whole, they are a very good deal.

Re: QUESTION: What Is AS IS ???

I had been on a wait list for a Beautiful top when I finally got the order it was a As Is but sent as new! It came in a bag that had a green bag with a stripe on it, it was rolled up and had no tags yet I was charged full price! I called C/S and complained and told them this was not a W/L but something else and I refused to pay full price. They refunded the difference

Re: QUESTION: What Is AS IS ???

I've always been hesitant to order anything "as is" but I did order some readers recently. I needed some and they had a nice set of 5, which is exactly what I needed since I have to put them in all my rooms. I did worry but the order looked like it was brand new, maybe the one who originally ordered just didn't like the colors. They had covers on the temples and the stick-ons on the lenses. I did wash and sanitize them since they were going on my eyes but I couldn't tell that they were returns at all. I do feel they were safer than the drugstore ones. Good luck, at least try some things.

Re: QUESTION: What Is AS IS ???

I have purchased quite a few as is things.  I have been very satisfied with the exception of one thing, which was a holiday decoration and it did not work. I returned it no problem.  Other than that, everything looked brand new.
