Hee hee...my DH just drove back from CA and the first thing he said was "You should see the roads in AZ" LOL
I'd give my eye teeth to live in AZ ! Bad roads and all.
@RespectLife The "high season" for tourism runs from New Year's Day until Easter Sunday. Road construction takes up the rest of the year!!! di
P.S. We would LOVE to have you move here!
So true about the construction!

I agree. But it was different from most of the others we always see and there was some creativity in it so I'll give a grade A for that. But I'll give the highest marks, A++, in the areas of tactless, presumptive, and strange.
But bottom line, yes it's just another anti QVC rant.
And now I'm off to see if I can stockpile more Valerie Parr Hill items!

I totally understand the OP's point of view. When my MIL died, we paid thousands of dollars to have her place cleaned out. We lived 800 miles away. My husband did not want any of it, and the STUFF was overwhelming. I have tried to keep downsizing as a result. I would NEVER want my kids to deal with what we faced.

I have spent my days in the last six weeks (since my husband died) going through what he considered his belongings. Yes, it is exhausting both physically and mentally but what memories each piece brings as I pick it up and decide the fate of where it will be headed. Most of us hopefully just see this task as part of living and loving.

@sugarbee, oh my, you summed it up so thoughtfully and beautifully. ❤❤❤
I am very sorry for the loss of your dear husband and I send you a sincere hug with wishes for better days to come. My sincere condolences.

When something happens to you — and it will — SOMEONE will have to clear out all this mess you've bought here and elsewhere that you just HAD to have. Not necessities, but "stuff."
Your children, busy with their own lives and families by then, will have to stop everything they're doing to clear out your property and make hard decisions as to what to do with all the junk you accumulated. THAT is the real legacy you'll leave for them: the hardship of dealing with all the overpriced Parr Hill tat; jars of half-used cream amd makeup; stained food containers; broken garden equipment that never performed "as advertised" from the start; tarnished jewellery; stacks of worn-only-once holiday-themed surge-seamed clothes; mass-produced, gaudy resin figurines.... And on it goes.
THINK before you buy. THINK what you'll leave behind for someone to sort through, clean up.
This lifestyle isn't worth your money or the anxiety you're creating for those left behind.
Time for Yoga Crossing arms Hummmmmmmmmmmmmmm
