I totally agree and got caught once with ezpay. I have gotten in the habit of double checking.

It is easy enough to check, but it is not convenient. It is there for the Q's benefit not the shopper, no surprise there.

Just curious - how does it benefit QVC?

@FranandZoe  I was just about to ask that question. I would really like to hear the answer.

Apparently they sell more when people can use EZ pay.

I just received a message about upcoming EZ Pay payments on a few recent orders I had made. Until receiving that emailed message, I had thought I had been careful when placing each of my recent orders to ensure that they were all one payment and not EZ Pay, but I guess that when changing my order to choose a different color option while on my way to checkout, the orders in question defaulted right back to EZ Pay.

I wish it were once again an option to select EZ Pay, and not the defaulted norm to pay with EZ Pay, which it now is-- at least on the items I have chosen to purchase.

Going forward, I will need to double, and perhaps triple check each and every order I place. I am not happy about this at all. I should not have to be inconvenienced to do extra work for every single item ordered online to be able to make a single payment for a purchase, IMHO.

Good grief, it's not the end of the world.  Just pay off anything accidentally defaulted to easy pay.

Technology settings can be tricky, but if you wanted easy pay and they charged the whole amount, that might not work out either, right?

Not a big deal in the overall scheme of life.

@Tinkrbl44 - To my credit, I never stated it was the end of the world.

Have a wonderful day!

Because it's sooooooo difficult to click on your choice.

Re: Not happy with EZ Pay as the Default Option

It doesn't much matter to me. HSN defaults to one payment so, when I order from them, I always have to double check to make sure I've chosen the option I want. You can always go to your "manage orders" and charge the entire cost at one time. It's an extra step but I don't mind it.

Re: Not happy with EZ Pay as the Default Option

I believe it defaults to your usual payment method as a poster stated upthread.

Easy pay makes it easier for those who would like to make purchases one can’t afford in full but can allot a certain amount each month. It’s like the old lay away method only you get the item right away & no interest. QVC makes more sales & it works for some customers.

I use easy pay out of guilt but pay off my QVC account in full each month. If I decide, I want to pay in full, as I’ve done in the past, I select the option & quite easy.

Re: Not happy with EZ Pay as the Default Option

It's not always that easy. I've hit easy pay accidentally and my husband has had fits trying to pay it off in one payment! I did find I can default to one payment in full. I still check it has defaulted to no easy pay, but so far it hasn't failed.

Never underestimate the power of kindness.
