Re: No more checks

[ Edited ]

@Grnthumb

I have seen dozens and dozens of posts on these forums where people admit they use check hold while they 'think' about it.

Then they change it to a cc anyways...OR cancel....which prohibits the sale to others while it is on a lengthy hold.

Adds to the reason stock 'reappears' after a sale, TSV, etc.

I don't blame QVC for deleting this option.

 So is to pay your Q card or a hold on products? I'm confused.

I think most people used check because you have two weeks to send the check plus it gives them time to think about it, and able to cancel the order.  The downside is the people that are willing to purchase now with cc, and can't because it is showing sold out due to the check hold somone else has.  It may be more fair ordering without the check option.

I never so any use for PayPal.  Isn't it just a credit card?  And I have no idea what ApplePay is.

@chrystaltree Saw your question.........I have pre-paid account-card with AMERICAN EXPRESS...........accepted by must or all stores.

Have a balance credit but don't use it much.  Limit of around $200

deposit of funds - each transactions.  Next day you can add another $200 if you have that amount in your checking account.

It's safe but you have to watch your spending and balance

I live in a check writing state.  I really think it depends on the demographics towns where checks are accepted & where they are not.

@Mz iMac

ACH debits and writing and mailing a paper check are not the same thing.

The above is referring to adding your bank info online...routing number and account number for the vendor to automatically deduct from your checking account.

@RespectLife   Exactly.  That's not the same as writing a check and mailing it while the items are held up until the snail mail delievers and it can be cleared, or rejected.

They would make sure the check cleared before shipping the product.
