Re: New Catch Phrase?

[ Edited ]

She may have skewed the meaning a bit. You could freak the word to fit in that catagory, but I don't believe that is the true meaning. Kind of like saying something is sick, meaning it is good!   I looked up agnostic to be sure , and it usually refers to belief opinion .. anyway, she might have tweaked the word and made up a new meaning?  Lol. The host used the word in the wrong text.  What she should have said was ageless and unisex.

@qbetzforreal     You are ABSOLUTELY right.  Even in the loosest definition, agnostic would mean "unknown".   di

@shoekitty   She is using the word in an unusual way....the word literally translated means unknown.   So the age/gender of a bag could be unknown....not used in the religious/spiritual context that we are used to.  For sure, an attention getter and unexpected.

An agnostic is a person who does not believe or disbelieve in a higher power, but rather acknowledges that they do not and cannot know or prove for certain whether a divine being or beings exist. "The word agnostic comes from the Greek ágnōstos, which means "unknown" or "unknowable."

Nope, not a newer host. It was Rachel B. See the link in another posters comment below that gives the exact time in the video presentation and hear it for

youself. I like Rachel and even looked up the definition of agnostic to make sure it didn't have multiple meanings. Nope again. The word, 'agnostic' makes NO SENSE being used in a presention of a LUG product or any other product. Sorry, Rachel, but you need to rethink the use of this term.

Goldengate8361, perhaps you need to look up the definition of the word, as well. Just becuase something is 'trendy', doesn't mean it makes sense. ; )

Apparently, age-agnostic and sex-agnostic are marketing terms.  They mean "an age of no age," and "a sex of no sex," respectively.
