I've been a QVC customer for years and years.  Although I don't purchase a lot, I buy my fair share.

Recently I bought a pair of shapewear panties.  I sized it according to the size chart.  Of course I had to return it.  I used the QVC return label.

When my bill arrived, I sent a check for 6.95 which I thought would take care of my bill since I returned the item.  Yesterday I received a bill for $29.50.

Evidentally, QVC does not refund your original shipping charge.

So, to get and return these panties, I paid 12.95 in shipping.  Plus a late charge of $25.00 on a $3.00 bill AND $1.50 interest.

I have never had a late payment in my life.  I called Synchrony bank and, after finally getting to talk to a real person, they waived the late charge.  They would not waive the $1.50 interest charge.

Now I get it that I should have realized that QVC does not refund your original shipping charges.  Why is that???????

  In conclusion.........Ba Bye QVC!!!!

It cost me $15.00 to order a pair of shoes, try them on, and have to send them back. I didn't learn, I did that twice. I'll get my shoes here locally. It only costs me a light bit of gas to get to the store. They used to say it doesn't cost you anything if you beought something and then had to return it. Now, it's just not worth not only the cost to return, but the trip to the Post Office. And that return seems to sit somewhere until finally a few days after you drop it off at the Post Office before it starts on it's journey back to the Q. I know it's not going Prioriety Mail, but it stays there for days before it moves again.

QVC shipping is ridiculous! That’s why I don’t order from them anymore. I love Zappos! Free shipping and free returns.

A lot of retailers offer free and fast shipping and free returns.  Prices for a most things are lower elsewhere too.   As for electronics, research them!  Most for sale are 1-2 versions old rather than current models.

If you think that was bad try ordering something on easy pay then returning.

QVC hasn't refunded original shipping for many years.  Many companys don't.

I really don’t understand your post!  But I will say this:  shop with care. Don’t be impulsive, consider carefully whether you really want and like the item. Study the details. Look at click here measurements.  Then you are sure to get home only items you love. Returns are free so if you need to make an exchange you are still only out the original shipping. I don’t  buy shoes or jeans because they are too difficult to get fit.  I learned that the hard and expensive way.

I now purchase my electronics from Costco.Their Concierge Service can’t be beat.If you pay with your Costco c.c. they double the warranty from 2 to 4 years. In addition they give you free 24/7 tech support for as long as you own the product. You also have 90 days to return as opposed to 30!!

I know there has been many discussions about shipping charges at QVC but I think they are about average with other companies.  I know some places have free shipping and returns but not that many.  I buy from companies where I like their product not just because they offer free shipping.

I have bought from catalogs where the shipping for a top was $12 and then returning it was $10.  You have to check what shipping charges are before you buy.

I can tell you from experience, you won't miss the Q at all.  I can get anything they sell elsewhere for either the same of less money.  Enjoy being free of these ridiculous charges.  The only thing I get is an auto delivery of Nature's Code for my DH and FAB that was a TSV with no shipping.

Sadly, all of their calculations are correct.  You were credited and billed exactly as you should have.

Unfair?  Yes...but the non-refund of original shipping has been going on for quite a LONG time now.  With the new policies, it will cost you a min. of $9.95 to try something and return it!  ZEESH!

I would NEVER underpay a credit card...sometimes credits and returns can go way past the payment due date.

You would have been better off paying the bill as it read....you can always get a refund of an overpayment.  You mentioned you order from time to time...you could have applied that to a future order.  That way you don't have to go through all this hassle.

I am very surprised they waived the $25!  If they did that...they most CERTAINLY should have also waived the $1.50 interest.  That is just ridiculous....especially since it sounds like you have never made this kind of error before.

Boo on Synchrony for not going one step further.
