My watch just moved to backorder!

I ordered a watch for me on 12-7. Yesterday I called customer service because it still was "in process". The representative was very nice, checked my order, said everything was ok still showd delivery date of 12-16. She said that check back tomorrow and I should see shipping information. I checked back today 12-12 and it is now in "backorder" status. Thankfully, it is not a gift, but it is disappointing just the same. How about giving me free shipping for my inconvience?

I've had the same issue with a bunch of my orders in the last two weeks.

A few minutes ago, I received a call from Melvin at QVC. He said he had read my post and gave me free shipping for my order. I am surprised that I received a response and so quickly. Thank you Melvin and QVC for your response and willingness to compensate your customers. These things stay with customers, not just for the moment but down the road too.

I've been having the same issue on a Judith  Ripka necklace I ordered on 12/02.  It was "in proess" for 6 days I think, then went to back order, back to in process,  again to back order and now in process again.  It's obviously coming straight from the vendor.  Hope I actually get it.

I also recently ordered a pair of Barbara Bixby hoop earrings on waitlist.  About 5 or so days later, they went to "in process".  After a few days, went back to waitlist even though the earrings were in stock.  I could order them from the website.  I finally gave up, cancelled my waitlist order and reordered them.  They are still "in process".

Not sure what is going on with the inventory.

QVC is obviously overselling its products, counting on canceled orders or credit cards not going through to push inventory back into stock.  It's not happening so things have to go on backorder.

It was very nice for Melvin to read a post here and call the poster.  I hope Melvin sends you some baked goods  or lasagna too, or invites you over for dinner!  I've read here he's a terrific cook.   Smiley Happy

Checked this morning and necklace is on back order again.  Supposedly back order means I will get it.  Eventrually.

This happened to me with an order I made from July. I was told it was a computer error. They are trying to take care of my order. Call and ask for a supervisor. Just read your next post. Glad they contacted you. They contacted me as well.
