Ok I'm getting frustrated when I post pics from the IPad they are sideways! Hmmmm just changed my avatar and yup it's sideways..maybe it's me! I'm sure it is.

Can someone explain the way to get it right. Thanks!

Wish I could help you with that.  Just to give you some idea how smart I am, every time you post a photo that appears sideways, I turn my Kindle hoping I can see it correctly!  DUH! You'd think after the first time that happened I'd know the photo will still appear sideways.  But noooooo, not me, I just keep on doing what I was doing & getting what I was getting.

This happens on my MacBook Air when I post here. I figured out that I have to rotate the pic I want to post all the way around with the rotate tool and then it posts straight and not sideways.

When we first started posting pictures, the mods said if your picture is not right side up, to delete it, go into your picture edit and do anything to it like crop, brighten, etc., then "save".  That should fix the problem, then you can re-post it.  Apparently it just wants a little attention...worked for me.👌

In Sunday's digital paper, there is a word game that I do everyday.  However, the Sunday version prints the answers upside beneath the selected word.  I used to twist and turn when finished my answers to compare to theirs.  Finally, I took a picture with my iPad and then turned it upside down to do the compare.

The instructions that I got on this board from DooBDdoo worked beautifully:  you have to choose one edit and then post the saved picture.

Hello @homedecor1 - @Kachina624 is right. It seems your photo needs to be edited in any way to post right side up. You can edit it before you post it and it should be fine. Hope this helps!

I think it an iPhone/Pad or iOS thing, it happens to me as well when posting from one platform or device to another.  Just look for the rotate option and select

thank you and others for the suggestions BUT I'm unable to preview my pics, in fact, 1/2 the time I get a error message and poof there it is sideways.

going to test it now. Nope the Image section is frozen yet the forum part scrolls behind it. And yes from what I can see the pic is right side up when in that mode. I hit cancel and keyboard is frozen over my post.

as I was doing the "test" I got error message and page reloaded...oh no my tree is now upside down! 

Like now I can't post anymore because the keyboard is "frozen" and I can't move it so I hope no typos.

Thank you for responding although I've changed my Avatar to a genetic as everytime I try to fix my UPSIDE picture the system kicks me off with this error message "error has occurred and page is reloading" after 3 days of this message I give up! 

perhaps there is a glitch or oh no it's me again!!! Or the IPad compatibility.

The sideways photo problem is an issue with EXIF meta data stored in the photo and various browsers and how they treat or do not treat that information. 

QVC's forum platform would have to be coded to take into account 8 different possible orientations for each photo as well as which browser is being used in order to determine how to display the photo.

Since that is complicated and not likely to happen, the easiest fix is to make any edit to the photo and save it as a new photo.  In some cases simply rotating the thumbnail or the photo before uploading is enough.
