Re: Models now talking on-air

Although it doesn't bother me, I find the models comments unnecessary and has zero impact on my decision to purhase.

I agree @San Antonio Gal . There is no value in what they say. They are an appendage of the host with a story or whatever to make you buy.

I think Marybeth Roes party speaks volumes. I didn’t see one QVC fashion, and there were a lot of hosts, vendors, and models there. All that claim to buy the same fashions they sell to the viewer. Many times, they claim to buy in multiples.

So, no take everything they say with a grain of salt.

Re: Models now talking on-air

I agree regarding Colleen Lopez on HSN.  She was the first host I saw doing this with the models.  I think it's nice and even if they are not going to say if they don't care for something what I find helpful is they will say if the item is true to size on them, or if they would go up or down a size.  I find that helpful while they also give their measurements and height.  More information is always helpful when purchasing clothing, but Colleen on HSN even mics up the models for her jewelry line shows.  I enjoy it.

I have no interest in what they have to say because they are never going to give you their honest opinion if is not favorable.

It irks me as another attempt to manipulate the viewers - The models are going to "absolutely love" everything they're wearing, of course. Smiley Tongue

Re: Models now talking on-air

All I ever hear on this forum is people complaining about everything. “Why does she wear her nails like that. She talks to much. Another vacuum tsv? I loathe this product, but everyone else enjoy! Why don’t they bring in other fashion designers besides the same ones every week? Who is this new designer, it looks like maternity wear? They’re letting the models talk now? How dare they!! It’s just another ploy to get us to buy more.” Gasp, how dare they try to get us to buy stuff on a shopping channel. Isn’t that what all the hosts are there to do? Yet everyone still tunes in to watch. I genuinely believe that Pam has 53 pairs of d&c beach pants and Jackie has lots of tennis shoes. Of course they aren’t going to say anything negative, just like any of the hosts aren’t either. I like hearing from the models, you see them as much as the hosts so you feel like you know them. I don’t need to hear anybody coming at me saying they are just voicing their opinion when at the end of the day it feels like they’re just complaining about it all.

Re: Models now talking on-air

A very well-spoken model at HSN is model Victoria.

Also, Kenya.

I don't watch HSN as much as QVC, but happened to run across model Victoria on several Fashion and Jewelry shows, and I've been very impressed.

I'm wondering if Victoria will be a regular model when HSN is located to QVC's building in PA.

P.S. and BTW,

I've recently noticed that model Deanna has been modeling, after quite a long while.

Re: Models now talking on-air

Lisa R always spoke with her models during her shows. She would engage them in conversation about the items they had on, make-up etc.

Nothing new her to see.
