I couldn't agree with you more.  You took the words right out of my mouth as far as long hair on older women "dragging" down  their appearance.   She looks tired.  A nice little bob would not only be attractive, but would perk up her appearance IMO.

If you look at the top of her Facebook page, the middle picture of her with a black dress, her hair is shorter and she looks fabulous.

Years ago Mary Beth had shoulder length hair and she came in with a short-ish haircut.  I thought it looked fabulous on her, but someone called in and expressed their opinion that the short hair did not look good and why did she cut it?  She was shocked and obviously hurt, she looked hurt but handled the call with her usual kindness..... but she has never gotten a short haircut again .....

I have been wanting to comment on MBR’s hair for a while but didn’t start a post because she has so many fans who I didn’t want to upset. Her long hair is very unattractive & has aged her, draws attention to her very wrinkled neck. She seems to be trying too hard to look and act younger lately.

I haven't seen her in a long time until last week. Ithought she had work done because she looked so young. I couldn't figure out what was making her look so young.

I never thought of the hair. Now I'll pay more attention when she's on again. But, whatever the change, I think she looked young and beautiful!

It looks fine. It's how she like it. I am 63 years old and I will NEVER EVER have the short "old lady" look. I have long brown hair with some blonde highlights mixed in with the natural white that is in it and gets complients daily about my "crowning glory". I never get the critcisms about someones personal style. If they like it who am I to judge?

I just saw MaryBeth the other day, and I hadn't seen her on QVC in quite a while. I was shocked at how long her hair was. Wow! I too prefer her with a shorter cut, but I respect the fact that she probably is experimenting with a longer length to see if it works for her lifestyle.

I have done that before as well, but now prefer my hair shoulder length. I don't think it makes her look older or younger, but I do think a good cut can do wonders.
