I love Mary Beth. I have watched her from the beginning of her QVC career.
Watching her this morning on inspirational jewelry, I couldn’t help noticing how heavy her makeup appears on tv. She is such a beautiful person, please change your makeup. It doesn’t do you justice.

@Margo777    That's TV makeup. Mary Beth is very fair and if she didn't wear a lot of makeup she would look like a ghost on the TV screen.

She should change her makeup because you don't like it? Why not tell her on FB?

@Margo777  I'm not a makeup artist so I can't judge someone else's makeup or tell them how much they should wear.  I have to agree with another poster, you should contact her directly and tell her how to look better.  I'm sure she'll appreciate your input.

I think MB is lovely.

I can't imagine having to adjust makeup under studio lighting

She and I are the same age, and there are days when I pass a mirror in a big box store and I look completely different than when I looked in my home mirror. Ouch lolol.

If we pick on someone's makeup @ the Q I would say Mally is the example of a redo. She likes it, not my look, so let it go ....

IMO, just about all the female hosts overdo their makeup which makes them look older.  If it's noticable to the viewers, I can't imagine what they look like in person.

Re: Mary Beth’s Makeup

[ Edited ]

I haven't seen Marybeth up close lately. I heard her on this morning while I was getting ready for work. I think though that since they all do their own makeup now, it is probably much harder, especially if you aren't the best at applying.

I notice that some look more natural than others. I know a big part is the lighting when you put on your makeup. That has happened to me before, and I got somewhere and looked in a mirror and had too much blush on..

I always thought that Sandra Bennett and Jill Bauer looked the most natural even when they did have makeup artists....

I also agree that the older hosts especially should definitely stop with the harsh black liner around their eyes, it is too harsh as we age..

I don't wear much makeup and probably should wear more! 😂.    One thing I have read is that as we age, we should stop using the heavy black eyeliner under our eyes.  A softer color is more flattering.  I am a few years older than MBR and Jane Treacy, who both would benefit from that advice, IMO.

@kaydee50

I agree!

I wouldn't know how to "do" my face so that the camera wouldn't capture every single flaw.

'In some ways we feel blessed by high def tv but in other ways it is a curse!

I can hardly wait for the days when I can have someone take a picture of me with the grands and only have a filter and edit on JUST ME!

Also, it would be nice to have the feature when filming videos...just think... it could correct lighting too!

Of course, we would then probably never recognize REAL politicians and tv personalities IRL ever again!😘
