Qvc no longer does 24hr programs? Since when and any ideas why?

@willomenia, I noticed that too for the first time tonight, has it been happening frequently? Maybe they've run out of late night hosts, Mary Nelson left recently and maybe no replacements.

I don't rarely watch any more, but did not realize that it was no longer 24 hour live programs.  If so, wonder why?  Cost cutting because of paying hosts??  I used to watch late a night all the time when I couldn't sleep.  But who wants to watch re-runs of this??

@AngelPuppy1I sometimes watch when I can't sleep, but I never buy during those overnight hours.  Maybe there are way more watchers than buyers?

I assume going to recordings is a big cost-cutting move which we see pretty much all over in retail right now.  I like to shop brick and mortar for my clothes -   just try finding help on the floor in most stores nowadays.

The repeats don't bother me because I don't really tune into QVC much most days.

@millieshops

That's how I feel also!  I like to go to actual stores for clothing.  Of course, in my neck of the woods, more and more stores are closing.  Retail is a difficult business these days.

I'm disappointed, because the only time I watch QVC is when I can't sleep.  I don't mind non-live programming, but one-hour presentations of the TSV repeated over-and-over is a losing proposition.

They are showing the midnight show until 7:00 for the next 4 weeks.  Guess then they will decide if they'll continue re-runs or go back to live for that time.  E-mail them if you're dissatisfied.  Sometimes I'm awake during the night and put on QVC.  And I'm up by 6:00 and put it on.  Now all I get are re-runs. :-(

Yes, I noticed that also and wondering why myself. I am a night owl and watch till the wee hours of the morning. Maybe saving on paying hosts.
