Almost worth killing an hour of your time just to see how that whole thing goes down every week. Usually starts with the pawing of the Ipad and the waves and Hi's to this one that one and the other one. If you don't catch it live it's always there for replaying later or another day.
@shaggygirl, I tuned into Lisa's chat last night for a mere 5 minutes and first thing I saw was Lisa futzing with her eye. It totally made me think of YOU and what you typed the other day. I laughed out loud!! And the pawing of Ipad etc. You nailed everything!! And everything is always now double adjectives when describing her wares. Her chats are annoying, cannot listen for long. It's the same ole repetitive antics every week.
And I agree with everyone who mentioned the reason for Lisa raising prices is because she's not gaining any new customers and the tribe has limited incomes. I think Lisa is secretly scrambling to make it all look like everything is great but she's not really killing it like I'm sure she imagined she would, hence never any sales.
Notice description now for all home decor items say allow extra time for shipping. Yep, because she's collecting the tribe's money first and THEN PLACING HER ORDER! A secret advanced order kind of deal. Lisa doesn't want to put her money out there first. By tomorrow all those items should say "sold out" when clearly they're anything but sold out. She's simply closing the window on ordering. Is it sly & sneaky or smart & savvy? Hmmm...
She (and the Herd) take the view that she's now "arranged it" so "everyone can get one who wants one", and not be disappointed at 10 available items selling out any more. They're thanking her for her "thoughtfulness."

It's great LR left the Q and found something new and different to do.

Yesterday during the live broadcast of the all important cutting & tasting of the chocolate torte her friend gifted her she mentioned that she & Katie are leaving for Las Vegas this morning....oh yeh the also all important photo of her and her breakfast biscuit at the airport has been posted....for some show or other, think she said home decor show but not sure. They were just there not that long ago. From there they go to Lake Tahoe where Nancy will meet up with them for some vacation time. Next month she and Katie are off to Italy again for yet another jewelry fair. Soooo, with all that in mind business can't be too bad.

She gets to write all her trips off as business expenses. And don't forget - everyone pays up front now for their mdse before it's ordered by Lisa. Then there is her ever-increasing profit margin.

I owned a small gift boutique for several years and we certainly didn't travel as much as LR does. In fact, one of the only gift shows we attended more than once was the Valley Forge show right in Lisa's back yard. I know several small business owners and none of them travel this much, either. They can't afford the time away from their businesses.
I do have a friend who owns a successful business in Hawaii. Her motivation for starting her business was to be able to travel the world with her family curating unique, handcrafted items. Currently, she and her teenage daughter are in Bali, working with craftsmen and women for her store. This is a little different because these items can't be bought or ordered from here and are made to order from materials that she picks out on site. It's also different because she owns the fact that the business provides a way of travelling the world with her children.

From my observations and their own photographs, as well as what they say about themselves, most of Lisa's customers are middle-aged women who have puh-lenty of disposable income and are compulsive, obsessive shoppers. These are, literally, women who live to shop. If Lisa sold wastebaskets, or commode cleaner "from Italy", they would buy it. They buy "both" colors of an item, "all" colors, multiple sizes, etc. Then admit weeks later that they don't really want what they bought, oops. All the time. It's a buying compulsion wedded to a Lisa compulsion.
But it can't last forever.

Does Katie get paid by Lisa? Maybe she "works" for Lisa in exchange for the experience and the travel.

You're paying for her name and to feel as if you are one of her "tribe". To feel as if you are part of an elite group. All about feelings.
