Why hostile responses like this one come anytime an opinion, any opinion,  is expressed I don't know.  OP is not alone in her puzzlement over the success of this line, the forum is full of threads on this very subject.

It is natural to question one's position, ask others for their perspective, especially  when the "fashions"  are so distinctive, and it seems you're the only one who thinks them odd.  Has anyone considered that one can be surrounded by a crowd of delusional devotees and neither their sheer number nor the vehemence of their fanaticism means that  you can't see clearly yourself. Emperor's Clothes phenomenon- I just wish OP didn't have to suffer wrath for expressing herself.

OP, there are some really nice people who will discuss issues with you without attacking your character, questioning you rmotives.  It would be fun to have Logo proponents share their favoritte pieces or layering thereof.  If everyone could see pleasing combinations of the layers perhaps they'd be enlightened ? won over? A calm cordial exchange of ideas would be engaging.  It would be as nice for them if they could share their creations without drawing fire from the city pigeons.

Hopefully,  you will find a welcoming community somewhere in the forum that can serve as your window past your "confinement" .  At any rate you are not alone!  QVC has long been a source of connection for others too.

So nicely said!!

Fanatacism is right with no room for other opinions. It is typical of a few here to browbeat opinions down that differ from theirs.

oh and silverfox... you were the one who was CRUEL to the OP about money. It had nothing to do with her opinion...none.

@CoG   See what I highlighted in red.  I think you are being disingenuous.  I think you are a smart enough person to know many opinions about the LOGO clothing line are not just "any opinions" but are expressed oftentimes in a way that puts down the clothing line and is insulting to the people who wear them.  "Bag ladies,"  "diapers,"  "rags" etc.  You've been around here long enough to know that.  People respect others' opinions that are expressed respectfully, which ofentimes the opiniones of the LOGO bashers are not.   Ad you know it.  So your statement I highlighted just doesn't  cut it.

I am watching the Lori Goldsein presentation.  I have watched her presentations before and continue to find myself astounded at her designs.  Looks as if underwear is falling out!!!  I am bedridden and QVC is my "window" to fashion trends.  Does anyone really dress like this?

I do and I like it.  I may not do all the layers but I love a skinnytee and a cute over cardi.  Love her colors too

My response about the money issue was not directed to OP, as she never mentioned it , it was directed to any of you in these, oh so numerous, negitive threads that bring it up all the time . There was nothing cruel, rude or fanatical ( really CoG - how rediculous ) about it, and by the way with all of your pitiful lecturing - my question about it has yet to be answered.  It may do you well to remember the you are not the only ones entitaled to opinions, we all are and that does not make us cruel, rude or " fanatics " .   I hope in the future if you deceide to write another one of these negitive LOGO threads you will stop and think about the many of us who wear her cloths, weather it be all the time or just occasionally , that being told we look like slobs, bag ladys, horrible ect. ect. really is crule and rude and maybe it's you who are the fanatics, with your seemingly obsessive dislike of Logo fashions.

Pearley, while you are ROTFLMAO, I would love to be doing the same.  Unfortunately, I can not do the same.  Wheareas I am all for certain rights given to us byour Constitution, as a handicapped person, I am limited to certain rights and a person such as you, are the reason why so many of us must fight even harder to be heard or seen by the public.

I'm sorry for you situation, but I think you're carrying this discussion about a clothing line just a bit too far. I don't think we need to crack open the Consitution here.

And while you express dismay at what you consider rudeness and a lack of kindness, try to understand that it was you who began this thread with rather negative comments. So it is no surprise that you might get some blowback.

I could never wear her clothes for the simple fact I am not 30. I'm not rail thin or tall. I would look like a potato in an  unmade bed! LG was on one day and I did say to myself that it was the first time I actually liked what she was wearing. It was simple straight leg black pants and a multi layered top that was solid black but shades of gray below....what was nice they werent asymetrical hems...just straight across. That was a look I think a lot gals  could look good in....but if you are heavy on the bottom I dont  think her usual droopy drapey look is good for that shape

We do this routinely in the LOGO subforum.  There are tons of posts where we LOGO wearers write about our favorite pieces.  We don't share much at all about layering because most of us don't layer much. Layering is not mandatory and most of us enjoy  wearing our pieces singly unless we need to be wearing something underneath a jacket or cardigan.

The "Emperor's Clothes" comment IMO was quite mean (although not surprising).

  1. What a hoopla over a statement of clothing.  Encourages me to think that very many of you have nothing better to do.  I joined the boards hoping to engage in lively, smart, and civil conversation.  Whoops!  Have I learned better!  Looking at some of the 10,000+ comments by some of you, checking your grammar, the structure of your sentences, misspelligs, and rapid adoration of a mere product, I am sure that I am in the wrong place.  One of you even blamed me for the "nasty" tone the thread had taken.  I will gladly withdraw my opinions from this witchfest.  I however, have to make a final statement to Karnerblue:  your thousands of comments could indicate you are someone who might know what she is talking about. FYI, the camisole, an under garment, long worn by women, is the very garment that makes me think that certain lines of dress that have the "dress" hanging out, causes the design to look like one's underwear is hanging out. Au Revoir.

@suzyQ3  Thanks for the great LOL today.   Although truthfully I always welcome an occasion to reread the Constitution.   Good stuff!

I don't have a clue who Pearly is, but I'll chance her wrath.  Logo is a bag lady joke.  I've never bought.  Also, they're way overpriced!!!
