Kitchenaid Replacement parts

I had an accident with my Kitchenaid 13 cup food processor-the top fell off and landed on the floor.  The latch broke and a piece broke off of the bowl.  I emailed Kitchenaid and was given the part numbers for both the bowl and lid.  I was informed it would take 4-6 weeks to get the lid replacement.   I was told they are currently manufacturing it.  This will bring me into the middle of September before I am able to use my food processor.  Does anyone know why it should take so long to get replacement parts?

No, but have you search other options like Amazon or eBay?

Re: Kitchenaid Replacement parts

They only offer parts for the old version of the 13 cup food processor, not the new one with the dicing disc.

"KitchenAid food processors are currently outsourced to Chinese manufacturers, although are built to KitchenAid’s strict specifications."

Re: Kitchenaid Replacement parts

parts for everything are taking longer than ever to get due to supply chain issues in Asia. Just be glad it's not your refrigerator or auto.
