Yes - Mike Rowe - thank you! I like him -- he's great on anything he does! Quite handsome, tooi!

Standard fare back then weren't all honkers like they seem to be these days. Though granted like you said, there were a few and Kathy hawked them. And the designs and settings of the jewelry weren't all cookie cutter either, like they are now. I loved the pear, trillion and marquise cut stones of yesteryear. The young people i know aren't interested in shopping at the Q. And this blast from the past featuring Kathy will bring the nostalgia crowd back, however temporary.

I have a very vague memory of this, and I'm sure Steve almost fell over at the thought.
A life time ago for sure!

Never heard of her. She was a former host? It seems most of them eventually return in one capacity or another.

@LaurenCats4 She was with the original QVC when it first started. I don't know what others came back? I see Stacey Stouffer every once in awhile. Saw Lisa Mason who lost her husband on a few times. Who else?

@tarytoo wrote:I agree everybody should tune in to catch up with Kathy Levine. She was a real hoot. She knew jewelry in a way today's hosts don't. She understood what ladies liked. And QVC delivered. The designs back then were original. You didn't see these rings coming and going. Like the endless halos featured today. And the stone sizes back then were not unrealistic, like they are now. 1.5 cts. 2cts 3 cts. were typical not 5, 7cts etc. The real metals without plating made the settings pop. And nobody questioned if they were real. They looked real. Today, not so much. i understand the cost is prohibitive now to use real gold. But the silver nowadays looks too bright, phony, and sometimes feels like tinfoil instead of being substansial. Back in the day I tuned into every show Kathy was on. LOVED her. And was sad to see her go. Can't wait to see what she brings to the table for this anniversary. I love Erin. But will be tickled to see Kathy Levine back in all her glory. She was the face of Diamonique for many years. A true renaissance of the brand, with her at the helm, temporarily touting these wares, is exciting for sure. I can't wait.
Wasn't it Kathy Levine who referred to the large cz rings as honkers? Of course they sold rings that were not believable. I would imagine that she will be selling whatever the buyers decide on. That is what they are paying her to do, just like when she sells Nutrisystem. If QVC is trying to attract younger shoppers, I don't think that she is the one to do it.
Karen Connelly from CVN called them honkers, too. Funny memories!!!!!

I started watching QVC after she left. I only know of her from people here writing about her. Watching that video, well, two things ... David is always a class act and Jane T. just bugs me no matter what.
I will watch just to see her selling style. But as someone else said, her comments about being the "face of" kind of turned me off.

Um i think thats so rude to comment on KL age when Barbara Wsltsrs started the View in 1997 at 68 and Joe Biden our president is 80 years old. Kathy looks great and this is a great idea. Bring back some classic QVC of old is needed for a boost. I always said they should offer LR the sun, moon and stars to return.
@JONNYSBRO Is this an endorsement that age does not matter? If so, you best pay better attention.

I witnessed it.
I am under no obligation to explain for those who didn't see.
LOL! Okay, just throw it out there as if there were some factual back up.
Thanks for the clarification though, I understand now. YOU thought she did a terrible job when she returned.
Others may not agree with your opinions! I saw her and thought she was as lovely and gracious as ever.
And no, you are not obligated to respond to anyone's questions, but please don't be offended when your statement is challenged. Just discussing...that's all.
@RespectLife I remember Lisa Mason coming back. I don't remember if it was before or after Gino passing. She was not back for long. I don't know what her sales were, no one does. But I DO remember that she did not feel well on one of her shows and had to leave the set before she was done. I believe it was Nancy Hornbeck that took over for her. Not sure if Lisa was ever on air again. I like Lisa Mason and hope she is doing well.
