KYToby,
Many of us who offer complaints and suggestions on this site ARE paying customers. QVC does get revenues from items we buy. But we gripe because some of the selling policies QVC uses make it unpleasant for us to deal with them. We offer suggestions for improvement because we want to continue doing business with them. If we didn't, we wouldn't care enough to post here; we'd simply tune out.
Are "actual customers" only those customers who never complain? I don't think so. QVC's viewing audience is MILLIONS of people, not thousands. The people who post here, with either praise or complaints, are just a small sampling of the total customer base. And an unhappy customer can still be a paying customer.
And, would QVC be reporting sales declines if unhappy customers weren't buying less?

ITA, I posted this on another thread--I was home Fri and Sat so checked the Q very often--I was hoping to catch some good gift ideas but all day long they had on the halo (friday) or that laptop (saturday), I seriously think 85% of the day was the TSV those 2 days. ZERO purchases for me from the Q.

It makes me sad that the old QVC is gone.
I first started watching about 20 years ago because they bragged they were the largest jewelry retailer & they had the prices & selection to prove it.
Now they are like all the other dozens of infomercial channels on the TV.
They have nothing new, clever or lower priced. Oh but you can get it in an exclusive color & on easy pay. That's all they have to hang their hat on. Colors & easy pay.
I'll pass. I do flip over and watch a few minutes every now & then hoping they surprise me, but they don't. Same old, same old.
Sad.

I agree with all of you! It is really sad. Can you imagine being a host and having to show the same products over and over and over. I would go bonkers. I do like the halo and have a few of them myself, but they started at 10:00 the night before. I wonder if stuff just isn't selling. I remember a lot more sell outs yrs ago. Today you kind of pray that it will sell out, so they show something else. If I had to keep getting in a car and saying yes! when it started I would scream.

AND today we are getting panned to death!

Last week, I "cut-up" my and DH's Q-cards and returned them to the VP of Operations--I reached my saturation point with their return policy due to lack of quality, lack of product variation, and a "host" of other aspects too numerous to mention.
Honestly, how many Dyson and computer airings can one household endure.

I think QVC is indeed listening to their customers. They have the option to listen to the tens of thousands of people who bought the TSV yesterday (more than 40,000 by mid-day) and today, or QVC can opt to listen to the handful of people who complain here (people who frequently state that they purchase very little, if anything, on QVC).
Please tell me who QVC needs to listen to ? T/he people purchasing items and paying the bills, or the people here who have nothing but complaints?
If there is a reason QVC needs to listen to people here rather than actual customers, please let me know.
I'll wait...
When the financials are going down-hill, @KYToby, they should listen to the complaints.

I surf on by during commercials. I cannot believe the Q is still showing that square box that kids hit on and it lights up. I know I've seen that toy at least five years and probably more. They just bring it out of the warehouse like there's nothing new in America a child could want.
They should be ashamed of their offerings and for beginning Christmas in July until the last possible moment, at which time they'll tear down the Christmas decorations and begin celebrating Valentine's Day and St. Patrick's Day.

@lyn61 They don't listen to us anymore. Not sure they ever did really. That will not change now. The Q is dying a slow painful death IMO. I know for me, I barely even log in or have them on my tv anymore and it's worse this time of year.
Their shows anymore from about Sept to Dec is like one huge warehouse sale here. And let's face it, they buy out closeouts and stores going out of business. So now they pass all that cr*p to us and call it all new, not used, great finds bla bla bla bla bla. Well thanks but I have ENOUGH of my own cr*p!!!!! I don't need to spend my fixed income on somebody else's cr*p.

You just gave me my biggest laugh of the day, lol. "The happy face sponge guy". OMG, I'm laughing so hard right now. ![]()
